I really enjoyed myself at Ballpark Village. I don't go out much anymore because I'm not a fan of drunk, Rowdy, loud, ignorance. But it felt good not to deal with that Saturday night. But what I did have to deal with was a big, unprofessional, egotistical, security guard with a mohawk and glasses.
I was told that the upstairs open bar area of bally sports was closing down, and they were trying to move people to PBR or Shark Bar. I said, "Ok, can I finish my drink? I just ordered it, and he told me, "Sure." And He walks away, and not even 30 to 40 seconds later, he turns back and raises his voice in my ear, telling me that I'm "drinking too slowly". I said I just got the drink. I'm drinking alcohol not Sunny Delight, and why am I being harassed? When I paid for my drink at this establishment.
After me and my friends we were walking away as told from the area, he continued to follow and harass us and tell me that I was "doing too much" I said why are you still talking to me?! Why are you still following us? we're out of that designated area you told us to be out of, and he continued to be rude, unprofessional, and kept following us. It honestly messed up the rest of our night. I don't know why these guys treat customers like trash? It's not necessary or that serious. It's overwhelming and not a part of his job description to treat customers like that.
I'll definitely be speaking of someone higher up to make sure this doesn't happen to anybody else and especially me again, because I actually enjoy going to...
Read moreMy son and I went here to watch the Cardinals opening day game. We had a reservation for 2:30, but weren't seated until 3:00. The young man who was in charge of seating everyone was definitely earning his paycheck because he would take the name, then disappear for 15 minutes and then return to seat the guests. Several people were getting angry and couldn't understand why they didn't have two people working the reservations. One to take the names and the other to seat the guests. When we finally got our table, we were seated right in direct sunlight. We were sweating within minutes. My son let them know that I'm on certain medications that require me to avoid direct sunlight and they promptly closed the sunshade, which was very nice of them to do AND pleased most of the people around us. The food was pretty good. We had the whiskey onion rings as an appetizer, and they were really good. My son had a burger, which he said was OK. I had the grilled cheese sandwich made with gruyere and provolone and it was delicious!! We had a warm chocolate cookie with ice cream for dessert and it was really good too. The ambiance of the place is pretty much like most sports bars. Jumbo screens allowed us to see the action on the field. All of the patrons were in a great mood and that made for an exciting day. Other than a few opening day glitches, it wasn't a bad way to watch the game, and I think we'll probably visit again before the...
Read moreI have been to several events on Ballpark Village grounds, but this was my first time dining in. My cousin won a Blues Watch party and invited me to come with her. The setup and restrooms were really nice, but the service was absolutely awful! The young ladies at the kiosk giving out the wristbands were really nice and pleasant. We weren't sure where we should really sit, because the hostess wasn't around to greet us. So a bartender told us we could sit on a booth and get served. We did that, and a woman came to us saying we weren't allowed to be there unless we were dining. We let her know we were told we could sit and we were planning on eating something. She just walked away and said nothing else. The waitress Chelsea S, was rude, standoffish and not friendly at all. A lot of the things relating to the watch party weren't really clear. The gentleman that brought out food was pleasant and really courteous, if we could have given him a tip, we would have. Everyone did enjoy their meal. As we got more into watching the game, the experience was a little more enjoyable, especially since the Blues won! The service we received made me never want to come there...
