We were very excited to come check this place out. Saw it has great reviews. When we walked in, it smelled like weed. There was no one there to greet us until 20 seconds later. John was the one that greeted us and did a great job belong us out. We decided to do the puppet Theater room. When we walked in, the room was very nice and seemed like we could get sucked into the story. But then it started. There was barely any lore to the story and it just felt like we were going through the motions of, unlock this, I found a code, enter it here. There was no continuing story. We did complete it, but all we did was press a button and the room ended. No talk, no story conclusion. Just John coming to open the door and congratulate us. I am eating this only a 3 star because the entry fee is that of a premium escape room. At $40 a person, I was expecting more. John made the escape experience worth it, but I would skip if you are looking to be immersed.

When I first entered the room I was drawn to a certain someone…Howdy. From his miraculous outfit to the freckles to the sweet summer child swoop of his hair I knew I was in love. I proceeded so spend the next hour with him and it was the best hour of my life. We danced under the lights, played music, solved mysteries, and watched a lovely show. Because of howdy I believe in souldmates. I was deeply saddened to leave and I feel a piece of me is forever is missing without him. I love you howdy. My sweet southern boy. Smara is the number one match maker!

Samara did a great job as our game master! Gave us hints just as we needed them and kept us going. We did the clock tower which was very challenging but a lot of fun 😁 it was two of my friend's first time there and they loved it :) highly recommend! Also I love that all the stuff you had to unlock weren't just obvious codes you had to find for a lock. There were maybe one or two like that, but all the others fit in with the clock/time travel theme! Very unique puzzles :) there was a story with the room as well. I was told this is the hardest room!

Nonfunctioning pieces, nonattentive game master, a good story with Clock Tower, public rooms (great for single/couples), and some good puzzles. There was more than one piece that was broken and nonfunctioning, which did in fact impact game play. With that same thing in mind, we were asking for our game master for literally 7 minutes (pretty clear to know how long it's been when there is a count down in the room). The game master left us with a broken thing in the last 7 minutes of the game and we ended up locking up a piece we needed and was unable to unlock it. Again, the game master was no where to be found. We ended up failing the room with only a little it left to do that was totally do able. This made the experience super poor to stand in a room and twiddle your thumbs when you had not even gotten the standard number of clues for the room. When we addressed this with the game master post game, they had said "well there is only a 30% success rate"... if you are rigging your rooms...that is super messed up. If items were not broken items and there was an attentive game master, it could be an award winning room. Without that, it is just a money sucking place that allows you to fail based on the issues that are preventable and should honestly be fixed or a game master needs to be prepared to intervene. I hope that this was an off day for this person and am choosing not to name them since I see no recent poor reviews. Please please take care of your game masters as they make or break our experiences. The clock tower's story was nice and the room was well designed. The pieces/clues/puzzles fit well into the game. Having a public room was delightful for my partner and I who had been traveling for the weekend. We were able to get a room with lovely other travelers that had completed a room here just prior. From the sounds of it, they enjoyed the last room, had additional hints, and that game master truly helped move their game along to a win. I don't expect to win, but I also expect to be working hard until the very last second if I am going to lose...not stand around waiting for a broken piece to lose my streak. The puzzles required thinking. There were a few concepts that are rare in my opinion, but definitely a few that were not skillful. I did not get the last few, obviously. Puzzles were overall great. Wish I can say I will come back, but I am hesitant to...

My family and I chose this location because of the positive reviews, but unfortunately we did not have a positive experience here. Giving two stars because some of the puzzles in the room we chose were clever, but the cons still far outweighed the pros. We do escape rooms several times a year, and this has been our least positive experience in the St. Louis area so far. What we didn’t like:

Even though we arrived on time, we had to wait 15 minutes because they were running behind.

Several of the puzzles/clues were broken - as in pieces falling off the wall and doors getting stuck causing confusion and wasted time. At one point, someone had to stop our game to come in to address one of these issues, as we had solved a puzzle, but the door that was supposed to open was stuck.

Our gamemaster wasn’t paying any attention for a majority of the game - this may be due to short staffing/one person trying to cover several rooms, but on multiple occasions when we asked for a clue, we received no response, and we’d randomly get clues we didn’t ask for, despite asking at the beginning to receive clues only when requested.

About halfway through our game, a loud party next door began a different escape room. Because of the lack of soundproofing, we could hear everything they were saying. One of the videos in our room was so quiet, that we couldn’t hear it at all over their voices.

Not sure if it was intentional or if there were just lighting issues when we went, but we struggled to see anything. We used our phones as flashlights but the overall lack of lighting detracted from trying to actually...

We went as a group for my little sisters bachelorette party and it was just OKay. There was some difficulties finding parking due to the other events downtown so we called just to let them know we are still coming. The gentleman on the phone said he understood but would need to start our 60 min timer at the time we booked our slot which is totally understandable. Our group was roughly 5 mins late and we thought since we were late that we would walk in and start. Nope! The room still needed to be reset which was a little upsetting at first but he gave us the whole 60 mins on our timer so we were good with the wait. Before entering we specifically asked if we would need to go back to other rooms to use what we found in another room in which he said no. The clock tower was the set of rooms we did and you do need parts from previous rooms for the rooms ahead. They don’t start you off with any clues so we literally circled the room for 10 mins until we could get our first clue. That wasn’t the end; we needed clues for each step because nothing made sense. One clue didn’t point to the next step, they were all separate clues so you could technically just guess and go out of order because nothing made sense. By the last room I started hearing clicking in one of the task so I made everyone stop talking so I could find the right pieces by listening to magnets clicking in some pieces and not the others. We got out with 5 mins to spare by “listening”. I wouldn’t recommend this place nor go back. The ones in St. Charles are way better and you feel like your actually going down a path not swirling...
