Jolie Olie's Sweet Shoppe — Restaurant in St. Cloud

My experience with Jolie Olie's Sweet Shoppe was an absolute nightmare. Initially, the cake tasting with Jolene seemed promising. She was friendly, and the tasting went well. However, things quickly went downhill from there.

We paid in full for our wedding cake and spent extensive time discussing the design details both in person and through numerous emails with detailed notes and photos. Communication with Jolene was incredibly difficult and frustrating. There were significant delays in responses, which made me anxious about whether I needed a backup plan for my cake.

On the day of the cake pickup, Jolene told my personal attendants one time for pickup, but communicated another time, nearly two hours later, with them. This miscommunication caused my attendants to miss most of my rehearsal dinner, which was highly disappointing and disruptive.

When my attendants finally picked up the cake, they were appalled. They described the shop as dirty and smelling strongly of marijuana. They questioned the condition of the cake immediately but assumed I had opted for a simpler design. To our shock, the cake was nothing like what we had discussed or what was sent in all our communications (with attached photos). Instead of the intricate design we envisioned, we received a plain white cake. I paid nearly $400 for what essentially amounted to a basic, uninspired cake.

After my wedding, I reached out to Jolene multiple times to express my disappointment and seek an explanation. However, she completely ghosted me. There was no response, no apology, and no attempt to rectify the situation. It was a complete abandonment of responsibility and customer care.

I am utterly disappointed with Jolie Olie's Sweet Shoppe. This experience was far from what one would expect on their wedding day, which is supposed to be the best day of their life. Jolene's unprofessionalism, lack of communication, and failure to deliver on our agreement demonstrate that this business cannot be trusted. I strongly advise against booking with Jolie Olie's Sweet Shoppe. It's not just a disappointment; it's a scam that will take your money and leave you with regret.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! If I could rate her 0 starts, I would. I scheduled a tasting with her and she asked to reschedule once we were there because she wrote down the wrong date which was fine. However, after we saw her sitting on her patio, a man asked the door very rudely. She wouldn’t even come outside and speak to me directly, she just messaged me through text message from inside her home.

At that point I had already paid her $200 and I asked her for a refund because we haven’t received any services from her. It’s been two weeks and she still will not refund me my money. I’ve asked her multiple times to refund me and she is unresponsive or has some excuse as to why she cannot refund me. I do not recommend to anyone because she will scam you out of your money. She was recommended to me by Rolling Ridge wedding venue and I had to contact them as well as the better business bureau. Don’t even waste your time...

I came across Jolie Olies just googling things late night in preparation for my daughters birthday. We watched this Netflix show over a year ago and my daughter has reminded me over and over how she wanted a volcano birthday cake just like the show. Well, we decided we would go big for her cake and give JolieOlies a try. I’m not going to lie, I was a little worried since I have had specialty cakes in the past that look good but taste terrible, but this was not the case with JolieOlies! Not only did the cake look impressive, it was full of flavor! Hands down the best chocolate Ganache and buttercream I have had! Sooo tasty and definitely worth the price tag! It was a hot day driving so one of the dinosaur legs did melt down the side on the trip home, but it was easily placed back up on top where it belonged, unfortunately I wasn’t paying attention and didn’t take a picture of it fixed.
