I have family in NC - & every time we drive from Florida up to Charlotte, we look for new coffee or donut spots to try (especially since I ALWAYS need caffeine to survive the drive.) And we drove a bit out of the way just to try this one instead of going to a chain, & I was glad we did. Now, I automatically add it to my route on the way up there every trip. I love their coffee, & they don't make it too sweet (though, I'm sure they could if you like that, I mean the default amount of syrup is just right, in my opinion.) And they seem to be family-run, which I love. Their treats look absolutely delicious. I didn't really like the boba as much, personally, but it seems to be pretty popular & other people were ordering it & enjoying it, so that might just be a personal preference of mine - but the actual milk tea it was in was delightful - I think they use actual fresh strawberries in the strawberry tea, because it certainly tasted like it, definitely different than the powdered strawberry flavor. But, the iced lattes are by far my favorite thing here. I'll be back next time we head north for a visit! Oh, & I also have to mention - sometimes the daughter (I assume), who is pretty young, will come out & take the order & she does such a great job. So professional, courteous, & she knows the menu - for someone so young I was really impressed with how well she did. Her mom should give...
Read moreWow shocking customer service experience. The girl behind the wall makes you think she is so busy when nobody else was around then serves the raspiest tasting house brew I've ever had. I go back in and has one customer there. Doesn't even acknowledge someone else walked in. Dumped my coffee in the lot and left and went on my way. I always try to patronize local coffee shops because the level of service and quality far exceeds BigBucks but unfortunately this one did not.(in response to your response your first mistake is to call me a liar. Because now I know the low level of business intelligence I'm dealing with. Second, the reason I patronize small business is because I've been a small business owner for close to 35 years. To have sympathy for your obvious staffing issue is not my problem. Your wall and interior design does not lend itself to proper customer acknowledgment upon entering your business. The obnoxious bell that is intended to bring someone from the back doesn't work! So my suggestion from one business owner to another is to apologize for the $26. Coffee that we threw out instead of calling me a liar. Make the necessary adjustments and learn from what I'm...
Read moreThe owner told me to go to Duncan if I wanted better service. ... I ordered 2 hot coffees and half a dozen bagels with cream cheese. I stood in the lobby with zero staff interaction for 17 minutes. It was incredibly awkward. I called and spoke with the owner about how the experience made me feel... The owner raised her voice at me, telling me that She can't afford to pay someone to smile at customers, and If i wanted better service to go to Duncan, was very snarky and eventually hung up on me. My reason for calling was to give my honest review to the owner only. Now a review online is necessary. I spent $32 on 2 coffee and 6 bagels WITH CREAM CHEESE I received 6 bagels and 1.5oz cup of cream cheese which is hardly enough cream cheese for 1 bagel. The customer before me left and drove back because she ordered waffles and received no syrup. Im...
