Absolutely love it!!! From the food & beverages, the management & staff, the facility & its features, to it's location ALL are top notch. I've never been disappointed @ SKYNARDS. The families & truckers travelling through the state on I-95 can just hop off at Exit 79, get a room at any of the surrounding Hotels & Motels & receive a discount on their meals with proof of their Hotel stay. The local community loves the fare. A mother of three that I met there this evening confided in me that her oven at home needs to be replaced but until the kids go back to school in a couple of weeks she's ecstatic to have the option of taking the fams to a close, friendly, economical establishment 3-5 times a week where each of their palates are more than satisfied. Another huge draw is that of the biker & motorcycle enthusiast crowds. Sunday's are a Bike Day of sorts where hundreds of riders from the Lowcountry region as well as abroad happily, peacefully & regularly converge year round in the abundantly adequate outdoor seating & dining area, parking lot & adjoining field, TIKI Bar serving $1 burgers & dogs as well as an outdoor as well as an indoor soundstage that ALWAYS have live entertainment via a band, a solo artist and/or DJ keeping the music piping. Eric, the proprietor is always around with a warm, friendly smile & demeanor of appreciation for each & every patron visiting his very family & pet friendly establishment. The only way that you'll be disappointed is if they are...
Read moreBased on reviews on Google we zeroed in on making our lunch stop here on the 1k north drive up Interstate 95🌴. It was more than worth it. If you want an extremely low key, chill, delicious lunch stop where you can sit outside and enjoy the weather and let time pass you by - absolutely stop in at Skynards. The ladies that work here are all very nice and the service is fantastic. I like how they serve waters with crushed ice and in styrofoam containers that you can take in the car with you for your road trip. I used mine for the rest of the trip. It was a Saturday around 2pm, not crowded - sat outside on the tables with benches and chairs. Weather was great and felt like an oasis. Nothing fancy about this place but it feels cozy. We had: Fried bologna and cheese with chips, Chicken fingers w honey mustard and seasoned grilled squash, and the grilled BLT with pickles and fried squash w ranch dippin sauce. All of the food was homemade and tasted delicious. Probably the best BLT I have ever had - I was not expecting them to grill the BLT bread like a grilled cheese but hot damn if it wasn't the best flavor combo. We will absolutely come back every time we are around the way. The menu (which is posted online - is huge and vast - something for everyone) this place is for loners and families - young and old. Highly recommend you make a stop and take a load off. Thank you Skynards and the whole crew working there in Saturday we...
Read moreOne of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked into Skynyrd’s, I felt like an afterthought. It took far too long for anyone to greet me, and even longer just to get a drink. By the time my food arrived, I had lost my appetite from the wait alone.
But the service issues didn’t stop there. While I was eating, a roach crawled across my table, up my arm, and even made its way to my drink. Completely disgusting and unacceptable. To make matters worse, before this even happened, the manager came over without a word, grabbed the menu off my table (one of the menus that stays on the table, not the ones given at seating), rang something in, and brought it back like nothing had happened. No explanation, no apology—just a complete lack of respect.
As a Hispanic customer, I also couldn’t shake the feeling that I wasn’t truly welcomed there. Whether it was subtle or not, the vibe was clear.
Be very careful coming here. The service is poor, the cleanliness is questionable, and the environment feels uncomfortable—especially if you’re not part of their regular crowd. I will not...
