Maybe my favorite bar? No food, no beer on tap, but a great selection of local beers and a comfortable if noisy atmosphere. The decor is the real star here. It's largely unchanged from its previous life as a working-class neighborhood bar, and the paintings behind the bar take you on quite the journey.

Not sure what Adam is talking about but the fine folks at Hideaway have taken every measure to ensure the safety of their guests and staff. I say that first because until a week ago they have been closed and recently only open for private party/reservation of no more than 20 in the building and outside should weather permit. I’ve seen the staff be extremely strict about this rule. No entertainment has been booked or promoted. No food has been offered to be served (shout out to TJ’s Pizza). Adam, you clearly don’t hang at a lot of south city bars. This place is a gem and your poor and untrue review hurts the livelihood of people who have done nothing but taken every measure to ensure safety and their continued success. No need to leave an untrue and negative review to hurt a community landmark. Thanks the most to the owners and employees of this place who are doing what they can to ensure we all can begin to enjoy our favorite dive again in safety. Take...

When we went, it was dark and immediately felt like we didn't really belong there ...well we sat down in the corner, excited to maybe see a live musician who was setting up for an act. I sat right under a photo of a topless girl but my wife and her friend had to look at it the whole time. After a few minutes of no server coming up to us, I asked for a food menu and was basically told "we can warm up frozen pizzas." My wife doesn't do dairy so we were immediately out the door. Didn't even buy a drink. Sorry, not the place for us! Would maybe go back for just a drink and to see the musicians. Or even play bags outside, but not for food or...

It seems like a nice place except for the fact that they are completely disrespectful to the peace of the neighborhood. The put bands outside in the front patio and it's very loud. I live a block away and can't sit outside anymore because of that bull. My whole apartment building complains about it. The female singer they have is just awful. It hurts to listen to her. I drove by on my way to the gym realized she's cute so that must be why they allow her to bellow like a dying cat. Turn the music down and I'll...
