This is the small Tilles Park in the city of St. Louis. It has enjoyed improvements lately, but still not up to the level of Francis Park, which is in nearby St. Louis Hills. City Park Department trucks drive through without much attention, and leave deep trenches in the soil, which is not very good there anyway. These trenches fill with water after rainfall, and they are unattractive and dangerous. I always say, would this happen in Francis Park? No! Read moreThe park is beautiful and full of activities. The picnic pavilion/tables are in a perfect location. They're close to the playground, baseball field, tennis courts, and restroom. I'm not sure how often they clean the picnic grounds or restroom. We paid $80 to reserve the pavilion and had to sweep up a large amount of nasty trash before we could use it.The least the parks dept could do is make sure its in usable condition. The bathroom stalls have no doors and there was feces on two of the three toilets. The smell and condition made the restrooms unusable. I was really...
Read moreMy kids had a blast!!! It was a thousand degrees while we were there. We lathered on sunscreen and played in the sun and WATER for 2 hours. The splash pad was definitely a hit with every child there. The park and splash pad are right next to each other so children can go back and forth without making parents move constantly. The bathrooms are clean and are also right next to the splash pad. If you’re thinking about taking your kids, do it! They’ll love it and you’ll love the nap they take after...
