After muchhh research we landed on Yet Bun for our taste of St Louis fried rice and it didn’t disappoint. We called our order in but I think because it was so large they didn’t start (or complete) the order until we arrived …. likely because they only take cash. I’d recommend having your money ready to pay in hand or your pocket (as opposed to a purse or wallet). Another customer had told us of an instance of someone going to pay and someone ran in the store and snatched their money out of their hand. I’d recommend verifying your order total as well because we almost got charged twice for our sodas but the other employee missed was written on the bag.
I had a whole special fried rice (no ham and added green peppers) and a beef St Paul (no mayo). The rice was everything I was hoping it’d be and the red pepper and sauce combinations really set it off. The St Paul honestly was great without the mayo but I did get a side of gravy to dip it in and the combo was perfect. Because I got a whole I had leftovers for days so this is well worth the value. This is a must stop for me the next...
Read morePeople raved about this place so I had to try it. I have passed by there for many years, so I finally popped in. I got there at opening at 11 am to avoid the men who are always hanging out front, begging, making it uncomfortable and irritating . Once inside, it was dark and dank. A white dirty entry door, with no window. I didn't even see the guy behind the counter who took my order, until he spoke, because it was dark back there as well.
Now to the food, I ordered veggie fried rice with extra uncooked onions (which were cooked). The service was fast and I must admit, they were very generous with the veggies (which is rarity at most), and they were fresh; and the food was piping hot 👍🏾 ...great thing. BUT the rice was so greasy that it took away from the entire meal...which I tried to eat, because I didn't want to waste my money, but I couldn't eat it. I wished they had lightened up on...
Read moreOn 314 day I make the decision to purchase food from Yet Bun Chop Suey. After spending $77.00. and some change I advised the man behind the counter that I would do an inventory of my order and return if anything was missing. Realizing there was one item missing I returned to the counter only to be disrespected and told to bring the whole bag back for him to determine if anything was missing. The lady standing on the side of me was having the same issue. Why would I spent $78.00 with your business to steal an order of crab ragoon? This restaurant is guilty of disrespect to their only patrons “ the black community” and we should not continue to patronize this or any other organization that continues to reap financial award from our communities and not invest a penny in...
