3rd Base Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in St. Martins

I stopped by to see the new renovations after they got the kitchen going again. I got my go-to, steak sandwich with tots. Tom made me up some horseradish sauce for my sandwich which was good (but not as good as Stone's 😎). The tots were done to PERFECTION! Everything was super good and more than I could eat. Portions are very generous. The remodel looks good with many pool tables now as well. Go check it out, but make sure they are open (hours are posted on Facebook).

Stopped by to eat and they had smoked pork steak, hash brown casserole and baked beans. The pork steak fell apart! Give it a try and tell Stone I said to come!

We'll.... Another trip to Third Base for lunch today. I usually get either a burger or steak sandwich (both EXCELLENT!) but today I wanted either a fish sandwich or a Battered Fried Tenderloin. I got there and settled on the tenderloin. I wasn't disappointed.

It was pounder out just about right. Not too thin, not real thick. Breading seemed like maybe cracker crumbs of some kind. Whatever it was, it was a very good breading and made the sandwich IMO. I ordered fries instead of tots this time too. They were a wide cut fry, akin to maybe steak fries. They were also really good and as always, you get plenty of em with your sandwich. Overall a solid 7-8 out of 10. The bun could have been toasted would be my only suggested change. Will have it again at a later date...

Little bar, but I saw no sports even though the men’s college basketball playoffs are on. There was a TV but it was not on, instead we listened to rock music. That’s the only reason for the lower stars. I ordered chicken fingers with a side salad. The chicken was great, but the BBQ sauce was strange to me. The salad was small and fresh, but the ranch tasted like tartar sauce, maybe they mixed it up? It was a Saturday afternoon, so I expected a different atmosphere with the name Sports Bar. Service...

There were five ladies that went for a relaxing meal and to chat and a few drinks. We had no idea what we would be walking into, but it was great!! The food was great, the service was great, we felt like we were one of the regulars!! We will definitely be going back. The restroom, at least the women’s, was decorated so cute and clean!!
