Our first time here and probably won't return. Visited with my parents and husband recently. Arrived at 6pm dinner rush on a Friday and noticed the place was pretty empty for its size. Sat down and ordered our first round of drinks. While waiting for the drinks we noticed the staff congregating behind us at the bar and talking and light gossiping as if they had no work or were over staffed. When my drink arrived part of it was poured down my arm and in my lap. If you can't hold multiple drinks at once, it's alright to make two trips - my wet clothes wouldn't have minded a second trip. Once our order was taken our server walked back over to the staff huddled at the bar and asked them to catch her up on what she missed....while putting in our order. I understand some servers can multitask, but it got frustrating. Our order took a normal amount of time to come out, but the strange thing is all of our hot, warm food like pizza and shrimp skewers arrived before our soups and salads. My husband and I waited to eat till our salads came, but that was our preference. When we left closer to 7:30pm, more people had arrived, but it seemed the servers looked more stressed and as if they were burdened by the influx of customers. Food was alright, about the same level as a thirty year...

This was our first time visiting here. We waited almost 25min to get greeted. We had to ask for a waitress from the bartender who was leaning up against the bar playing on her phone. There were only 4 other tables occupied, they were not busy at all. Our server was either on something or off in laa laa land. She brought us the wrong drinks and when we said something she just said sorry and didn't attempt to fix it - and still charged us for them. The food took forever and when it finally arrived it was all cold and the bread on the sandwich was soggy. It did not get eaten. It was a really bad experience. To finish it off I used the ladies room on our way out the door and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for days. The garbage cans were overflowing, the floor was disgusting, and the sinks were grimey. The place was really gross. We were very...

Went for prime rib Saturday (until it lasts). Perfect medium rare slice of thick cut and well seasoned. Started with a few cocktails then had the clam chowder which had a wonderful smoky flavor and plenty of clams. Then was on to the ceaser salad which was fresh and a homemade dressing. Then to the main course of prime rib with au jus and creamy horse radish with a loaded baked potato, broccolini and a new item of a fresh roll. For dessert we shared a raspberry cheesecake which was very smooth and creamy. Service was excellent and kept checking to make sure things were good. Going back next time to try the Friday night fish and chip special and more of the clam chowder. Highly...

Just in time for the Fourth of July while rodeo season is in full swing, St. Paul, Oregon has a new Taphouse. The inside farmhouse decor transitions nicely into a large outdoor patio through beautiful glass garage doors. I had the Texsas style pulled pork sandwich with their crispy fries. Don't forget to try one of the locally harvested craft beers they have serve. This is such a wonderful tribute to their local Fireman, Austin Smith, who was tragically killed this year. Austin had a dream to open his taphouse and was near completion at the time of his death. So next time you're passing through make sure to stop in a raise a toast to Austin.

This is an absolute gem. The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff friendly, the drink selection outstanding, and the food is amazing! We love the decor- much of which was salvaged from local farms, as well as the tribute to Austin Smith- the fallen St. Paul firefighter who was killed in the line of duty a few months back (the tap room and restaurant were originally going to be opened by Austin and his brother). If you're in St. Paul for the 4th of July rodeo, wanting a great date-night location, or just passing through, stop in for a drink. You won't be disappointed!
