Hang's Asian Bistro — Restaurant in Stafford

I should have taken pictures of the inside, but I would recommend to never eat inside here. So with that being said, it makes me skeptical of what the Kitchen may look like. I put one star for the service because it was a normal Saturday and I was calling them and there was no answer and they were closed on a busy Saturday. My biggest thing, though the first time I came here and I asked for the vegetable dumplings because I am vegan and they gave me pork and when I put into it, it was absolutely sickening. Since they advertise that they have vegan meats and accommodate plant based people it seems like they even have a news article up on their wall for the first place in CT or something like that to have plant based meat options. Got pick up. The outside of the restaurant looks super junky and the inside is dimly lit. Looks like there is no sit down seating anymore. Felt like they did not have the heat on. I asked for my dish to be medium spicy, it ended up being way too spicy. I was able to tone down the spicy with a sweet sauce packet. My Thai basil beef had barely any beef or basil, it was mostly onion. It has definitely changed from what the dish used to be. The amount of rice you get doesn’t seem to be enough for a entree dish unless you like yours swimming in sauce. Tom yum soup was good. It’s expensive for the portions you get. Excellent Chinese food! General Tso's is crispy; lo mein is great mix of pasta and veggies; shrimp dumplings were delicious. We tried dine-in figuring it'd be around the same timeframe as ordering pickup but without the dirty dishes. Service was courtesy of the owner's kid, which is understandable, but that meant he was busy on his tablet and barely helped us. Eventually, we asked if we could order, then 40min later got our food. Kids were overtired, grownups were grumpy -- next time, just do pickup and save yourself a lot of time and money (drinks). The owner was kind enough to take over and that helped speed us along.
