I grew up going to this deli. My parents have or rather were long time patrons. I looked at the owner and his wife with dignity and respect. Treated them like family and vice versa whenever I would see them. Now my parents are elderly and can’t do as much as they used to. I work two jobs to keep up with medical bills and everything else while living in a different state. But I do my best for both my parents. The owners wife felt the need as soon as she saw me to say to buy my father “proper pants that don’t fall” and pants with elastic bands. My father is sick. He has lost a lot of weight from his medication. He also suffers from dementia and if anyone knows what that is someone with that can become violent at a moments notice. I have bought my father many regular fitting pants with drawstrings and elastic bands. He refuses to wear other pants than what he already has. It’s a pride thing and he has become violent as a result. Someone can only do so much. Not that that’s any of her business. I was genuinely shocked to be greeted with this after not seeing her in a long time since I have recently moved and come back only to assist my parents with whatever they need. I will never be coming back to this establishment again. My family agrees as well. They’ve lost lifetime customers. Some things are just no...

The older guy at the register (clearly the owner) basically charged me whatever he wanted for my sandwich, chips and coke (even dollar amounts, didn't even attempt to ring it up and then have the register add tax, etc). When I questioned him , he said he knows the tax amounts by heart. I'm not buying it. It's likely CT isn't getting any tax, more likely. Then I didn't have to sign my receipt on an old machine? C'mon, something is fishy. i was going to let it go but the sandwich was mediocre at best. Should've stopped at a chain where I'd know what I was getting. The place was clean and the guy who made my sandwich was a nice guy...
Read moreThe food may be good here, but I won't be returning anytime soon for how rudely I was treated. I was training for a marathon and needed water - went in with a credit card (all I had on me so I can buy a bottle of water) - guy was terribly rude and called minimum credit card on the bottle of water. Full within his right - but lost my business for sure. I think whether it's a regular customer or someone who's walking into your business because we just needs some water you should have a heart - shame on you buddy. Too bad because I live and work nearby and have plenty of friends / coworkers who are always looking for a new...
