Ditto's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Stanwood

I visited 30 or so years ago and it is still the same wonderful small town restaurant. The burgers are huge and good.

Bacon Cheeseburger - $11: The burgers are quarter or half pound and I ordered the half pound. This was probably the largest half pound burger patty I’ve had. It was very generous. I can see why the double with half pound patties says, “We Dare You to Try This One.” It’s gotta be MASSIVE.

It was cooked medium-well, and medium quality. The bacon was of medium thickness. The cheese was good. Burgers come with lettuce and tomato which was fresh and tasty. The bun was standard. Overall, the burger was a great value.

Fries - $2.75: They are battered and served plenty warm. They were VERY lightly seasoned and needed a bit of salt. They were delicious otherwise.

Service: Very kind and helpful. They made sure we were well taken care of. Our water cups were not empty long and we didn’t have to wait longer than the expected time to order and we received our food in a timely fashion. We were able to pay with a credit card. They were super friendly. It is Iowa after all.

Atmosphere: No music. I did not even see speakers in the ceiling. They have booths as well as chairs at tables. There is a lot of farm and country decor. It is well maintained and clean, though there are a few dings and things here and there. It is mainly what I remember as a kid,but with a few upgrades and modern improvements.

Conclusion: I’d recommend visiting for sure. They have been around for MANY years and it is easy to see why.

My mom and dad took me to Ditto's for lunch today. Omg if you never have been I HIGHLY suggest you go. There ranch and blue cheese dressing is homemade and absolutely amazing. I had the brosted chicken with a loaded baked potatoe. The chicken was so juicy and the breading was not heavy and fried toperfection.. It came with a huge salad and homemade bun. I decided I wanted to try the coleslaw and it was to die for. The staff was so friendly and always made sure we had what we needed. Next time your in Iowa I suggest...

Horrible service!!! I just recommended this restaurant to some amazing gentleman from out of town who have been doing some work on my house for me. They were there for 30 minutes and were never greeted or acknowledged by anyone working there. They sat and watched other customers arrive after them and be greeted immediately. Definitely will never recommend this establishment to anyone...
