My boyfriend and I drove the hour one way, on my birthday, to show support for a small business and we were NOT disappointed! We showed up at a non peak time so there was no wait, the guy that was working was super friendly and chatty, he was happy to answer any questions we had and gave us a small sample of the chopped brisket which was incredible, melt in your mouth delicious! We got the ultimate queso, I got the lunch special which was a chopped meat sandwich, a side of chips or potato salad, and a can soda, and my boyfriend got 1/2 lb sliced brisket, 1/4 sausage, and we had to try the burnt end pintos. My chopped brisket sandwich was SO good! They toasted both side of the buns which helps the sandwich hold its integrity with the generous serving of meat and the veg and sauce included. The potato salad has celery in it which is a foreign concept to me but it still went incredibly hard. The burnt end pintos are impeccable, perfectly cooked and with generous chunks of tender meat; you don’t have to wonder if you got any meat in your burnt end pintos! I didn’t try any of the sliced brisket or sausage but there were no leftovers there OR with the sides. The ultimate queso was really good but very mild, I would have liked a bit more heat via some fresh jalapeño but no real complaints, the cheese pulls were great! Finally, there were a couple of house made barbecue sauces that were both REALLY good. The original sauce has that familiar tangy bite we all know and love with a lil peppery kick in the back end. The pineapple habanero delivers a sweet and spicy roundhouse kick to your tastebuds that makes you regret it a lil bit but then has you coming back for more anyway… lol I had half of my sandwich leftover, brought it home, and used the leftover chopped brisket to make a pretty great brisket, bacon, and cheese omelette the next day.
We did ask if they had jalapeño cheddar sausage and that wasn’t an option but we heard it may be in the future so fingers crossed for that.
Anyway, 10/10, would make the drive again....
Read moreSide of the road Food Truck with an indoor bar type area. Picnic benches outside with ample umbrella coverage. The guy was really nice that served and made the food for us. Ample choices, but I selected 1/4lb of beef and my wife the chopped brisket nachos. He had us taken care of quickly and notified us with a pocket buzzer. Brisket was moist, had a nice bark, moist and had just the right amount of fat on it for me. Some good flavors. Give it about an 8. Wife had the nachos. She was ok with them. She really enjoyed the brisket and the chips were good, but the queso was not doing it. Overall for her about a 7. Atmosphere was very basic on a rock pad with several park benches. If there some music that might have brought up this score. Maybe a 5. Overall experience may not be enough to go and sit down again for us. Brisket was good but at $29.00 a lb, that seems a bit high compared to some other places out in the country. Might go by again for the brisket. *Inside looked like they might have some live singers or something like that. Very small in there. I'm sure this is a place many others might really like. It was a...

The brisket quesadillas were out of this world — huge portions, incredibly flavorful, and impossible to finish in one sitting. And the cold beer served with a smile? Perfect. 🍺✨
But the star of the night was the listening room. It’s not just a place for live music; it’s a space where artists share their stories, turning every song into an unforgettable moment. 🎶
Don’t let the distance stop you. Make the drive. Go for the food, stay for the music, and leave with memories you’ll want to relive again and again!
