I have gone here for years. But everytime I order from the PA System, they can't hear me. I hear sounds coming from inside. When I went to the drive thru, I ordered 6 bagels and a strawberry milk. I had to repeat myself 3 times. Then when I ordered a strawberry milk, they couldn't understand me. I heard a lot of background noise from inside. When I drove to the Window, there was a male worker who told me I couldn't order from the drive thru window. I told him I ordered through the PA System. He told me they could not understand me when using my mask. Informed him I was not using my mask. I advised maybe they need to upgrade their PA System. Then unprofessional, worker informed me , I need to order elsewhere. Nice customer service. Not very professional. If you want have repetitive customers this is something you don't say to customers. I have been going to Bagel Cafe and Sterling Ice Cream for years. I will take the advice of the worker and take my business now to Dunkin Donuts down the road in Sterling. My relationship as a customer with Bagel cafe has ended. Very rude and unprofessional customer service.. The staff doesn't listen. Even once they confirm your order at the drive through, once you get to the window they've somehow messed it up. Even if you're the only customer there.
Toasted bagels come out of the toaster warm and chewy, not actually toasted (to me, it's common sense to run the bagel through once more if it isn't actually toasted or change the setting on the toaster so that toasted items come out...toasted)
1 toasted bagel with cream cheese turns into 2 of them...black coffee turns into coffee with cream...it's simple stuff.kind of hard to mess up especially when you're the only customer there.
The bagels are good so I keep coming back because it's easy to correct my order but seriously? Write the order down or try a different work-flow. The simplest of orders get messed up very consistently.
There's a sign out front that reads "old management is back!". Not sure if this is good or bad? Did we want the old management back? Will me toasted bagel come out actually toasted so I don't have to ask for it "extra toasted" and then...

Then add the fact that it seems to be impossible to get an order correct at the drive-thru speaker, needs to be repeated several times, EVERY TIME, then the order is still wrong. Today, after exchanging pleasantries at the window about my incorrect order yet again, (I'm being extremely facetious), said owner yells out the drive-thru window these words exactly "If you want to be served by slaves you should go down the street!" Four times he screamed this at me with at least three other cars behind me and several customers inside the store, while my daughter was sitting in the front seat hearing all of this. Bottom line here...the bagels are unfortunately delicious, which is why I have put up with this ridiculous behavior in the past, but the service is notoriously horrible.
