This place is very easy to pass by if you aren't paying attention. If you like Mexican food that's well-prepared and presented and full of flavor you need to try this place. The portions are generous. Everything we've tried here has been fresh and tasty. The chips are perfectly crisp but not too heavy or greasy. The salsa was bold; the thickness of it was refreshing with bits of onion, garlic, jalapenos, and cilantro. We love the "street tacos" that we used to get when traveling to CA and AZ. You used to be unable find anything like them around here...until we found Rodeo Santa Fe. The street tacos there are packed with tender bits of seasoned meat, diced onions and generous amounts of cilantro on 4 round corn tortillas and served with lime wedges to fresh-squeeze over it and salsa. We ordered the special that was recommended by our waitress. It was very good. The staff was very attentive and made sure we were happy with everything. If I had to be picky the only thing I would have liked different would have been the chips and salsa I ordered. I was expecting the normal chain restaurant style. So, I read the negative reviews, but they were kind of old. So, I decided to give this place a try. I wish I had listened. The waitress was unnecessarily rude. We asked for extra salsa, and she was so irritated at our request that I felt bad for even asking. We were very uncomfortable to the point that we didn't feel our food was safe to eat, so we didn't.
