During my recent visit to DARLIN' Bakery & Cafe in Rochester, Minnesota, I was delighted by the charming ambiance and delectable offerings. The bakery's "old school" style creates a cozy atmosphere that invites you to relax and enjoy.
I began with a breakfast sandwich, which was perfectly prepared and flavorful. The quiche, a popular choice among patrons, was also tempting. For dessert, I couldn't resist the cinnamon rolls, which were fresh and delicious. The coffee complemented the pastries wonderfully, making for a satisfying meal.
The staff at DARLIN' Bakery & Cafe were pleasant and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. The bakery's convenient location on Broadway Avenue makes it easily accessible, even during busy hours.
In addition to their in-house offerings, DARLIN' Bakery & Cafe provides custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and more, making it a go-to spot for special occasions. Their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is evident in every bite.
Overall, my visit to DARLIN' Bakery & Cafe was a delightful experience, and I look forward to returning to try more of their delicious...
Read moreUpdated review: I previously posted a few weeks ago and I wanted to update my review. After my post the bakery reached out to me and offered me a full refund and another cookie cake. This time the cookie we received was delicious. It had the perfect amount of sweet, light frosting and it was soft on the inside with chewy edges.....everything we wanted in a cookie cake. I certainly appreciate a business that strives to ensure the customer has a positive experience and to make things right. I will not hesitate to support this bakery in the future.
Original review: Purchased 2 cookie cakes (totaling almost $50) for my son's birthday. They were beautifully decorated and the frosting was delicious. However, the cookies were awfully dry and did not taste fresh. Not one party guest took seconds and no one wanted to take any leftovers home. I tried to contact the bakery via email to provide feedback but did not receive any response in return. Perhaps their pastries and cakes are more fresh but I am not sure if I will return to...
Read moreMy girls and I drove all the way from Owatonna to visit. When we got there the baked goods looked so delicious we spent $96.60 and bought one of every pastry, 2 sticky buns and 6 cinnamon rolls. We waited the whole car ride home to try them only for my entire family to be extremely disappointed. The chocolate croissant was so hard we couldn't even eat it, the donuts had no flavor which was super disappointing, especially for my kiddos. The sticky buns weren't fully cooked in the middle and we were scared to eat them, the scones were rock hard on the outside and super dry when eating them. The cinnamon rolls were very strange tasting, I'm not sure how to describe it, but no one in my family of 6 liked them. We even warmed some pastries up hoping that would help. It did not. Needless to say, we more than likely won't be back. We were so disappointed, especially for the price of the pastries. I expected them to be out of this world!! The only positive is the staff were kind...
