This place turned out to be the center hub for my family's vacation. I love coffee and we were staying at a friend's place in Cudjoe Key so it caught my eye. From the moment we walked in, I knew that I would be coming back. The owner, (Austin), was chilling in their super comfy chairs. He jumps up to welcome us in, asks if we want menus and walks behind the counter to take our order, (he has about 4 employees behind him to do this, but clearly he loves helping people). So he recommended amazing food choices and we sit down & get our food & Austin sits down with us and writes out a list of awesome things to do in the area! So the espresso drinks are the real deal, the marketing is great, (do you know what is square grouper is?, you will!). It's dog friendly in/out. Food is REALLY good! Get the waffle sandwich, it is a flavor explosion! The art is really great too, check out this Zach Otto stuff on the wall, it's off the hook, ( no pun:). Lastly, it is super convenient that they also offer a corner of the shop where you can get set up for 4:20pm when they close! 😉 To wrap it up, I have been back every day, (multiple times a day),...

I visited this café on my way to Key West, drawn in by its beautiful ambiance. The decor is stunning, with vibrant indoor plants and a serene, welcoming atmosphere that immediately set high expectations. Unfortunately, while the setting was impeccable, the experience was marred by an unsettling interaction with the staff.

I couldn’t help but notice that their warmth and professionalism seemed reserved for certain patrons. While white customers were treated with genuine friendliness, my experience felt markedly different—less courteous, less accommodating, and with a microaggressive tone that left no doubt about the disparity. For a business located in a region so dependent on tourism and the diversity it brings, such behavior is deeply disheartening and wasn’t something I was expecting.

It’s a shame that such a beautiful space is overshadowed by conduct that makes some guests feel unwelcome. I will not be returning and would caution others about this disappointing undercurrent in what could otherwise be a great...

I was looking forward to trying this new place. Since I heard it was coming. I knew it being affiliated with the Square Grouper/ My New Joint, that it was going to be done well. Of course it being brand new and everyone wanting to try it, the line was all the way to the door. The line moved pretty quickly and they were doing a fantastic job keeping up with the pace. The place is really adorable, but even more importantly it was comfortable abd welcoming. The food was very good. We got the Fat Albert sandwich and the waffle #1 both were delicious. I got the waffle and I definitely want to try a sandwich next time! The lattes were great, very good coffee! The staff is super helpful and friendly.

The MaryJane’s closet is awesome as well. I love their merchandise. I know I will definitely go there when I need to get a gift for someone.

Updated: Been back a few times since and it’s typically busy, which I’m so glad to see. The staff is great and keeps the line moving. The...

Our first visit was on 2/9 shortly after arriving in the Keys as we waited for friends to arrive. I realized later their grand opening was the next day. What a gift! Their coffee is amazing and that is just the start! The atmosphere inside and out was so enjoyable, but coming from TN we were eager to enjoy the warmth of the sun and the breeze. The key lime beignets, while not a French/New Orleans beignets, are absolutely delicious. Topping it all off is the pleasant and smiling faces behind the counter. We visited twice more during the week with the final visit the morning before we left, pleasantly bookending our vacation. We came home with a bag of coffee, a cup of which I am enjoying as I compose this review. Their website will be explored in the weeks ahead as we seek to replenish our coffee supply.
