Charlie's Sports Bar — Restaurant in Stockbridge

Has kind of a dive bar feel to it. The type of place where the bartender knows almost everyone’s name because they’ve been coming to sit in the same spot & order the same thing at the same time for years. The regulars definitely get attended to before the new customers...to the extent that I felt I had to flag down the bartender & then wait for her to finish chatting every time I needed something.

The prices are reasonable with decent pours and typical bar food. In addition to TVs to keep the drunks entertained there are some of the electronic games in the hallway that leads to the restrooms, as well as several pool tables scattered in the front near the doors. They even have a really nice tabletop shuffleboard setup complete with sand on...

My rating is based on the overall atmosphere and cleanliness of Charlie's Sports Bar, where I ate catfish, coleslaw, french fries, and hush puppies.

Though most patrons come to drink alcohol to relax or party, I came to eat.

I sat, ate, and observed the overall atmosphere for over an hour. No beer bottle smashing or disorderly conduct occurred during that period. 😊

The food was decent, especially in considering that the beautiful Barkeep, Charly, multitasks as the bartender, waitress, and cook.

Charly is my go to bartender who is an amazing woman by the way however, you gotta show the rest of girls behind the bar love because they are great in each of their own right. I am a very selective person and that being said, this bar is more than that by a long shot. It’s a matter of perspective, but Personally, Its the people that make this bar. Won’t show the same love...
