Update: Saturday, June 7, 2025 PM My son likes this restaurant. It’s not my favorite. He ordered the special of the day which was smoked salmon pasta. He enjoyed it. I wanted the pork belly sandwich and i was really looking forward to it only to be told I was only available till 3 PM?!? Really nothing else on the menu cought my eyes so I just ordered a hamburger and substituted a salad for the fries. The hamburger was OK. It was medium like I asked. Nothing special. The salad was weird. It had had those weird spiky greens…kind of like dandelion greens. I would’ve much rather prefer a regular lettuce salad! No thousand Island dressing available! They were very busy this evening. We were fortunate to have a great server… Bella! Very personable and takes great care of the patrons. We would definitely ask for her section again if we go back. Here’s the rough part. I’ve been making love to the 🚽toilet 🚽for the last couple hours. The Garlic Bros food was all that I had to eat today so what can I say?? Next time I will try to talk my son out of going to here. Thank you, BELLA for a great dining experience! —————— Update: Saturday, May 25, 2024 PM This is the second time we’ve eaten here in the last 2 to 3 weeks. We started with the deep-fried ravioli appetizer. Second time we’ve had these. I don’t think we’re going to order it again. They were barely warm and they don’t have much flavor. My son ordered the chicken breast dinner with the pesto pasta. He enjoyed it. It looked yummy. I ordered the Hacked Chicken Salad. I will not order that again. The description said that it came with roasted walnuts. It did not. These were just plain regular raw walnuts! It also said it comes with Gorgonzola cheese. I had to look really hard to find any cheese. There might’ve been a half a teaspoon. This is sad when you advertise a salad and it doesn’t live up to the description. The Iced tea… It was rancid! I asked the manager to taste it and she agreed and made a new batch. I don’t know where that taste came from but it was not good. The new batch was better. Our server, Mikhila G, hit it out of the ballpark. She was awesome! We might return and try other items.
———————- Been years since we’ve been here. Ordered two appetizers… The deep fried raviolis and the garlic bread. We would order the raviolis again but not the garlic bread. The garlic bread was pretty bland even though it had garlic flavoring. It needed more garlic butter. $2 off appetizers during happy hour! Nice. I had The Addiction…pork belly with rice and a soft boiled egg. It was good. My son had the salmon and it was excellent. It came with a nice salad and a scoop of rice. Next time I will order the salmon. Great service. Our server and the manager both checked on us a couple of times. Our iced tea glasses were never empty. They have a special deal on entrées on Mondays. We’re planning on returning to...
Read moreMy friend and I were in town for the Mount Westmore concert w Snoop, Ice Cube, E-40, Warren G and Too Short on May 27 @8pm. We were running a little behind and decided to drive the 12 minutes away from the Stockton Arena to try this restaurant anyways. We got there with around an hour to spare before it started. This didn’t leave us much time for taking in the beautiful sights but they indeed were there and visible from any table you sat. The water was beautiful and on less windy days we would've eaten outside. There were boats on the water and the sun was just setting for the evening. It really was beautiful. The hostess did ask but also warned us it was windy and we’d fare much better indoors so we took her advice about being much more comfortable indoors. We were concerned with the wait time for our food so as soon as we sat down, I explained to the hostess about our situation. We’d checked out the menu online ahead of time so we knew what we wanted. The hostess who greeted us at the door (I wish I’d gotten her name but, ya’ know, I was going to a snoop concert and had gotten an early start) was wonderful in making sure this was communicated to the server and probably the chef. This was greatly appreciated by us. All the ladies we interacted with were absolutely amazing. They were all very professional, friendly and had great personalities. Woman to woman, all of them were sweethearts and the effort they made to get us on our way as fast as possible was incredible. All I needed to do was kindly explain our situation and they did what they could and made it happen. I really didn’t expect to be out so fast and this was an instant de-stressor for my friend as she was driving and couldn’t use the provisions I could in preparing for the snoop dogg concert. So she was a lil more stressed while honestly I could’ve just sat there staring at the water while eating 2-3 more tacos but alas we had to go and go fast…which we did. We were in & out in 35 minutes and made it to the concert on time with full bellies. We even parked and walked a few blocks. I ordered the pork belly tacos which were tasty. You can never go wrong with pork belly. My dinner came with 2 tacos filled with pork belly, fried nice and crispy in 2 corn tortillas with cilantro, pickled onions and green salsa of some type. It came with a side of beans too. My friend had some type of chicken tacos and said they were the best chicken tacos she’d ever had! Those were her exact words. I’d definitely recommend both dishes and we would order both again. My experience at Garlic Brothers Restaurant and Bar was superb. The staff, vibe and food are excellent. Hopefully I can go back again when I’m not in such a hurry and I’m not headed to a snoop dogg concert so I’ll remember all the names of the wonderful staff and can thank them...
Read moreOur womens Christian Fellowship/Support group 'Voice Of Hope' in Stockton and members of New Season Church of Stockton made reservations for 10 to 12 persons on Saturday May 25 2019 to celebrate and surprise our Voice of Hope founder/Director Birthday. I was greeted at the entrance of the restaurant by a friendly hostess and server. They were both welcoming and made me feel like I went back in time a bit; when good customer service was important to businesses. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. Since we were surprising the Birthday girl, I got there early as well as the others. After proply being seated, we were greeted by a super friendly and attentive waiter named James. James was beyond expectation in how he just took care of all ten of us. He kind of blended in with us and took on a part in our celebrating the Birthday girl. When I made the reservation I had forgotten that it was a holiday weekend until I noticed the restaurant was so busy with all of the tables full. We were seated outside on the deck over the water. It was absolutely lovely. We waited an extra long time for the Birthday girl to get there and James was totally patient with the delay and with all of us. He truly earned his pay and tip and then some with us. James had a real kind demeanor, was funny, and just made us all feel that we were in good hands. I know he must have been a bit overwhelmed by how busy they were. If he was; you never would have known it. He took care of everything for us and was always calm and comforting. Everyone was pleased with their lunch orders. The food was terrific. The service was even better. Garlic Brothers should be very happy and proud to have such great staff representing them. There was a total of 10 people, women, in our party and we did not have one complaint. I really believe it was James that made our visit to Garlic Brothers so awesome. This is the 3rd time we have used Garlic Brothers for an event like this and we will go back again and again as long as the customer service stays...
