Visited at opening 11:00a.m. on a weekday, and we were the first ones in. I was surprised to see that the business name was changed to M Kitchen Buffet. I tried to ask the worker about the name change, but I wasn't able toneffectively communicate with them.
The cost for dine-in buffet is $9.95 per person. They have about 7 booth tables that can fit up to 4 people. The place is casual, and seems to cater a lot of people who work in the area, and are looking for good Chinese food at a wallet-friendly price. 1-item starts at $6.95, and a 2-item is $7.95. From what I recall, rice or noodles are considered 1 item, so be aware a protein and rice or noodles is a 2-item selection.
The food was fresh and hot at opening. I prefer the fried chicken, orange chicken, mixed vegetables, chow mein, and fried rice.
If you're in the area, give it a shot. I was expecting Sherman's Buffet, but it wasn't. My guess is that someone who worked at Sherman's Buffet wanted to own a store, bought it, and changed the name. It tastes pretty muvh the same, and the menu & concept is the same. I prefer the Sherman's off of Pershing, but this restaurant is a good place to dine in or get...

However I usually love the egg drop soup but this one had big clumps of cornstarch in it making it taste likee and it had no chicken . The garlic chicken tasted like it was soaking in heavy salt water or something, it was so salty I had to toss it, the plates were ice cold and wet too. Sweat and sour pork was OK with my girlfriend, they had a BBQ chicken that tasted pretty good ( I like 5 spice ) and i really liked the salt and pepper prawns, overall the price is OK and when the food comes off of the line hot it's OK. Just remember it's not Shermans any longer and as for now it took a step down, I will check it again in the future and hope they...
Read moreWe visited M Kitchen Buffet last week and thoroughly enjoyed our meal there. The food was fresh, hot and ready to eat. Talking to the new owner, he is a former chef and restaurant manager and has infused recipe ideas from past experience, giving their more traditional dishes a tasty uptick from the previous routine items. For me, my favorite, orange chicken, is tops! As Arnold said:...
