Froggy's at the Lake — Restaurant in Stokes Township

Went to Froggy's this weekend for the first time and I cannot wait for summer after my trip! my mom and I arrived on a cold Sunday and there was a group of people sitting around the bar and immediately was asked to join them. They were playing some kind of dice game that cost a dollar to join and if you roll a certain amount of dice you can win a free drink. The people at the bar ended up buying everyone a turn so of course we did to.

The guy sitting near me, recommended a Creamsicle kind of drink, which was good, but I think I'll stick to my regular order. After looking at the menu, I decided to get Chunk N Dunks which is a thin layer of breading on a chicken nugget. It was very good, I got a side of ranch and a side of California gold after the recommendation of Nick, our bartender. My mom got a quesadilla that was FANTASTIC.

After we ate, Nick offered to show us around the bar as it was pretty closed off since it had just snowed. During the summer, they have live music and a swim up bar that can hold around 200+ people. I cannot wait to come back to town for some shows and to meet new people as everyone around was so friendly. They also had a pool table and some games inside for people to be entertained during the winter. According to their website, they have a lot of activities going on including bingo, pool and darts and much more.

Forgot to take pictures this time. I rarely rate 5 stars across but this one is well deserved. I worked in restaurants for a long time. We fish a lot at Indian. We aren't pool bar people. But we do like good food when we are at the lake. We've eaten here multiple times. This is not (everyday) bar food. Buckeye, Tilton, and Achesons have great food too. But literally every time we've had food here it's been top-notch!!!! It comes out hot, but not like it's been in a window for a long time. It's hot AND fresh!! Servers are always on point. This time we tried Pizza. Expecting "average" bar Pizza we were quite surprised. We ordered the Meat, the Chicken Bacon Ranch, and cheese bread. All 3 items were fantastic. Great dough, not too much sauce, but just enough. They were seasoned fantastically and provided great flavor!!! One of the best pizzas I've ever had and I've had a bunch. Special mention. We had burgers last time and they too were awesome!!! Not only big but great flavor as well. Excellent work...

I don’t feel that I can give this an honest review because we didn’t end up ordering food, but I do think it’s important for people to realize before they come that this is a PARTY atmosphere. We were from out of town and came for dinner at 7:30pm on a Friday night in early May and there was a live band that was LOUD and the inside was packed. We ended up just ordering a drink and leaving to eat elsewhere because we couldn’t even talk at our table. Definitely a fun place if you’re wanting a bar vibe with live music. We just weren’t prepared for the atmosphere, but we would definitely come back in the summer to checkout the swim...
