New York China Restaurant — Restaurant in Stokesdale

I have been coming here since they opened and more regularly the last year. The last 4 times I ordered it's ALWAYS a lot longer than what's told but I never write a review even though I gripe to the family because the food was delicious! Well today is different, I placed an online order as usual and the son calls me and says it's gonna be an hour is that ok, I say yes. I get here and had to wait which it was before the hour so I didn't mind. I eventually asked after it had been a hour and they hadn't even started my order!! I told the woman that I was quoted a hour and she gonna tell a bare face like and say I didn't order till 6 in which I followed with my call log on my phone showing her son called be at 5:40 so how could I have ordered at 6?? This is unacceptable to treat a regular and the biggest thing it to try and LIE! If you can't handle the orders then don't accept them! Now after waiting over an hour my kids and myself have to find something else to...

This is a great restaurant in Oak Ridge, NC. I am now a big fan of New York China. I was visiting the Oak Ridge/ High point areas and went here in my free time for lunch. The fried pork dumplings here were absolutely amazing. They were very scrumptious. The service was great too. The lady who took my order smiled and addressed me very respectfully. There were several kids in the restaurant and they spoke to me and tried to get me to help them play a game. They were adorable. The lady asked if she could take a picture of me with her kids. I respectfully declined, but I was glad she asked instead of just taking the picture like some people would. Great restaurant. The sweet and sour pork was also scrumptious. You have absolutely GOT to try the sweet and sour pork. Never had better anywhere.. and I've been a lot of places and to a lot of chinese restaurants. Next time I'm in the area I'm definitely coming back and ill be trying...

DON'T GO! It'll take forever!!!! We decided to try this place again only to get the same experience. The estimate they give is so off it's ridiculous. They have a fake door up so you can't go in, you have to wait by the door until someone comes up, asks for your name then disappears without any information. They did this for the 5 or so people that were all there waiting as well. Eventually they come back with your receipt for you to pay then eventually with your food. Our food was supposed to be ready in 40 minutes, which we thought was a LONG TIME to begin with then when we got there at that time we still waited another 30 minutes without any other information. We were missing chopsticks and other condiments but didn't even consider going back since there were about 8 people waiting at that point. They are still closed inside and just...
