China One Buffet — Restaurant in Storm Lake

I'm surprised so many people talk bad about this place, the variety of food is great if you feel like your cup isn't filled up all the way get up again don't be lazy. Sure maybe the floor and ceilings are not that great looking but you're not going to eat on them. Seriously people here the food is good you should write this place a good review, if the service is bad the problem is you're too lazy to ask for something. I'm sure many people expect waitresses and waiters to refill your cup without asking that's how they earn their tip, if they don't do it just don't give them a tip and save yourself the trouble the restaurant is good just for that it should deserve a 5-star after all it is the best one in town I know cuz I lived there for many years and its still my favorite one. Wear your work clothes when you go for the lunch buffet. Many workers come in over the noon hour and I am not sure they wash their hands. There is a nice variety of food. Most of the sauces taste about the same, but that could be because I avoid spicy food. The egg drop soup was watery yesterday, but I don't remember it being that bad before. The dishes are clean; the walls and ceiling are not. Next time I am going to order from the lunch menu. According to the menu they gave me yesterday, noon lunch is $4.50 but the buffet is $7, I think. Ordering from the menu should give me freshly prepared food. The food was really gross and they actually told us we were limited on what we could and couldn't eat.. at a buffet? If I could give them less than one star I would, but that's not even the start of it. We asked for to go boxes and they let us know it would be a "small charge" to what we were already paying, which is fine. But the not fine part is that "small charge" was 30 extra dollars for two to go boxes and when we went to talk to them about it they were immediately defensive and blamed us for not knowing. 10/10 would not recommend.
