Sandwich was fine, but there were issues. Got a number one and was asked if I wanted it on a grinder. Was a little surprised when the total was almost $16. After I asked I was told that a grinder was a dollar extra. That’s fine, but I don’t remember seeing that on any of the menus in store, and it’s not online. After I started eating the sandwich, I noticed it was particularly dry and there was definitely no balsamic glaze like it’s supposed to have. Went back and asked about the balsamic glaze (basically thick, sweet balsamic vinegar) and was handed a cup of balsamic vinaigrette instead…. Which is salad dressing. 🤦🏼‍♂️ I walked away, salad dressing in hand, kept it in its little cup, and proceeded to eat the rest of my $16 sandwich dry.

Our first visit to this new delicatessen! What a catchy name - Cutting Wedge! We visited on a Sunday when they serve breakfast all day! Everything is homemade on site! Fresh, clean and friendly atmosphere. Owners came out to chat and make sure we were happy with our food! It was outstanding! They have daily specials, prepared meals to grab and go and family meals at incredible reasonable prices. Fantastic latte and many choices of flavors! Definitely will be visiting frequently. Welcome this awesome business to the town of Stratford!

I drove by to bring my cat to the vet and saw that the Cutting Wedge was open, so I tried it for lunch. They said it's their first day open, a soft opening. I ordered the #1, which has chicken cutlet, fried eggplant, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, broccoli rabe, roasted red peppers, and oil &vinegar. It was amazing!! Great sandwich for the first day being open! I'd love to come back and try more!

UPDATE SINCE ORIGINAL REVIEW:went back a few other times and the food was lacking in freshness and quality. Huge drop off. My LAST visit was FUBAR. old sub rolls, old roast beef and was given salami NOT the capicola ham I had ordered. not sure why the drop off but I will not take a chance on eating this old food again. they have lost their way. If they truly cared about their business, they would assure the orders are correct, and fresh

new place for us to eat. My wife LOVED cold eggplant sandwich.

.been there 3 times:meatball sub was great. Italian combo and roast beef were very good too. So gad they do NOT offer boars head deli. The brand choices for italian cold cuts are a notch above what others offer.

wondering if the owners might consider a double stuffed option for those fantastic grinder/sub rolls that they use? I have no issues with paying more to get a roll full of those great...

The owners, food, and kitchen staff are incredible. The register staff could stand to spend less time speaking with their friends and more time paying attention to the orders they’re taking. We ordered a stuffed bread, then got asked a minute later what kind of stuffed bread we had, it was put in the oven, and promptly forgotten about while they caught up with their friends. The same girl handed us our order without the stuffed bread, and when we mentioned it was missing, got a reply of “did you have a stuffed bread” at which point the stuffed bread was found in the oven a good bit darker than intended. The ownership group and kitchen staff more than made up for their counter staff’s mistake by giving us the crispy stuffed bread as well as making us something similar, as we had ordered the last one of the kind that we wanted. Again, kudos to everyone but the...
