Jacalito Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Strong City

Sadly this was not up to par. Neither was the service. Although the waitress might have been new. My main concern was my vegetarian daughter wanted a cheese enchilada and the waitress told her there was meat in it. We clarified a few times that a cheese enchilada is just simply a cheese enchilada to which she confirmed it has meat in it. She told my daughter they can’t make an enchilada without the meat. I told her to write it down as cheese only, no meat and we will see what happens. It came out correct. That just blew my mind. If it had beef in it, it would be a beef enchilada. Same goes for chicken. Idk. That was wild. And I got the quesabirria and it’s definitely not prepared as it should be. I would consider them to be more of a scalding hot street taco. Couldn’t really even eat them. The salsa, however is spot on. Loved the salsa. So back to this cheese enchilada, can anyone confirm this? Does their cheese enchilada have meat or was this on the waitress. I’ve just never in my life been to a Mexican restaurant where a cheese enchilada had meat. That doesn’t even exist anywhere. Lol. Any human who orders a cheese enchilada expects a cheese enchilada. If the waitress was incorrect, please inform her so she isn’t scaring off vegetarians. She was the waitress with the braces and needs to be informed if she is incorrect. well my friends and I ate here before a few times and it was good. now after a long day in the heat watching trains at Matfield Green and a long hike up Pioneer Bluff to get train pics, we went here to eat. i was getting really tired and fatigued. i have Functional Neurological Disorder and autism, ADHD, etc. and i was getting fatigued and having weakness and plus past supper time. I needed to rest and eat and get my energy back to drive back to Emporia. we got there at 8:30pm and the sign said they close at 9pm. but the rude waitress said they stop serving food at 8pm. and they close at 9pm. She said we can come back tomorrow. I told her we live in Emporia we will be eating in Emporia. I had to sit in the car for 15 mins trying to get the strength to drive back to Emporia with no food. so we stopped at Huddle House and had the best waitress ever. really...

My dad is truck driver and he's stopped a couple of times now the first time food delicious and the service was excellent . On his next few times the food is still good but the service keeps getting worse. There was this lady with colored hair who was just a very rude person he asked for some things like green salsa and diced onions and he never received them. When he asked them she just blew him off. On one of the last visit he got her again asked for baked potatoes and they dropped it on the table and when he asked for another one since he wasn't going to eat that one. The young man told him he was told they would not give him another one. Finally they did however give him a fresh one.
