I ate at Cattlemans yesterday for lunch. The waiter was horrible. We try to get his attention several times he ignored us. He talked at several other tables and did not check on us. He did not bring my husband his dressing with his salad. My husband got his side salad, 45 minutes later with the meal. I asked for tomato for my cheeseburger like the Menu said and I also asked for extra pickles and never got them I reminded him about the tomato and pickles and still never got them. We tried to get his attention for refills on drinks. I tried to flag him down with my hands, and that did not work. When He was at the next table to us I tried to get his attention And that did not work. When he walked by, we tried to get his attention, and he just walked by and ignored us several times. When I complained at the register when I paid. The Waitress argued with me and said he was not a terrible waiter and she said she was watching him, but if she was watching him, then she was ignoring her tables. I know she wasn’t watching him because if she was watching him, she would have seen all the mistakes he had made. She was not the customer he did not wait on her he waited on me and my family which was 3 udults and 3 kids. She just kept arguing with me and telling the people behind me I was wrong. She was very rude. I don’t know if they are family, but I am the customer not her. They are gonna lose business because of this and the owner or the manager needs to do something about this. The food was good. My cheeseburger was Excellent. The place needs to get new waiters and waitresses in there who are not rude and know how to treat their customers. The waitress who was very rude to me, used to be very nice to me when she waited on us before. I don’t know if she was having a bad day, but I’ve never had a problem with her before till yesterday, but she should’ve taken my complaint and not argued with me. if she was having a bad day, she is not to take out on her customers. Everybody has bad days. I have bad days. Please don’t take it...
Read moreIt’s was no wonder that there were only 4 other customers in the restaurant at should have been their busiest time of the day by the poor quality of food not to mention the rude service. Cattlemen’s used to be exceptional food and top notch service how ever after today’s experience it’s clear they have went way down hill. The wait staff was rude and the women with a million garage tattoos all over her body never once spoke to be to ask me how the food was, she did ask the other 2 tables. As I mentioned they were not busy at all and I had to go up to pay and get my take out order because the waitress was standing at the register on her phone. When I got the check I didn’t tip because in my book they didn’t earn a tip. After she noticed I wrote “no tip” and sign my copy, another lady with her daughter came in so she sat them and took their drink order, knowing I was waiting on my to go order. So I had to ask who I think was the manager trashy tattoo lady for my order she looked at me rolled her eyes, I explained I was in a hurry if I could please get my order. So she marched 6steps to the back to the waitress who was tending to the lady she had just sat and said “she is in a hurry and needs her order!” Then it took them another 3 or 4 minutes to bag my order. I watched the whole thing from about 10 feet away. The so called ot who I think was in charge tattoo lady brings me my to go order with a attitude she said “ here you go” I will never give cattlemen’s cafe in sublette ks another dime and I will be sure to spend this experience to everyone I know. It’s sad that the one of the only places to go out to dinner at in sublette is now a run down dump with staff who obviously feels like they deserve a 25%tip. My advice is to reconsider when thinking about trying Cattlemen’s in sublette ks. Food isn’t even good enough to feed my dog let...
Read moreWe stopped here while starving on a road trip and were very satisfied. I got the lemon pepper chicken with rice, carrots, and broccoli—the portions were generous, nicely seasoned, and sat well with my gluten sensitivity (probably hard to find gluten free food in that area and I didn’t even have to try alter something). My partner had chicken fried steak with fries and corn. The place/town was nearly empty at 2 pm on a Sunday but probably busier other times. Enjoyed a little walk around the...
