Monical's Pizza — Restaurant in Sullivan

This place used to be good, now it's regularly BAD!

I've tried so many times to communicate to the manager the issues they have and it may be ok 1 time but it won't be the next! The manager herself said she didn't understand how to read the tickets for toppings after they got my pizza wrong, exact words were "I don't know, I'll have to take this ticket home and study it" because it's so confusing! This was after gaslighting me about what the ticket said when I have my own copy and telling me it couldn't be wrong because their "best pizza maker made it", unbelievable!

There was no, "I'm sorry for the mistake, we will strive to do better next time" with any of my calls. I only called because I know pizza here can be so good and I didn't want to lose this place as an option.

If I hear there is new management, I may try again, but this place has gone downhill since probably 2021.

Here's some of the problems I've had:

1. Wrong toppings on wrong sides of pizza (so many times)
2. Raw pizza dough in center
3. Can't order garlic on pizza due to insane amount put on it (coming from someone that always gets extra garlic)
4. Delivery times crazy, over an hour
5. Crust so hard that they couldn't and didn't cut all the way thru it
6. Missing items from order (like dressing)
7. Salads made differently every time they're ordered (they've since removed most salad options)

Also the pizza is entirely too expensive to be dealing with any of these problems, a large half one topping and half 4 topping is $30 before tax. Where is that money going?? Hire good help! Used to order every other week, now it's been maybe once every month or 2 trying to see if they will work thru these issues. I'm done now, sorry for the rant but I have strong feelings here and have been trying for so long...

Took calling 4 times before they would answer and not just pick up and set back down to disconnect. When finally getting thru was told that the door would be locked at 10 pm and I MUST be there before. I said no problem only to find the door locked at 9:48pm. A customer coming out finally let me in while workers looked out the window at me only to do nothing not realizing I called an order in. Told girl waiting on me that I wanted to talk to a manager. Told assistant manager Dawn I did not appreciate the way I was treated all while still in the timeline of being open. If you chose not to have customers after 9:30pm please change all your signage and websites. Pizza usually excellent, this time and probably the only time I experienced a no taste, bland pizza because of a hurry and get out of here work crew in Sullivan Illinois! Will try something else for dining while visiting...

Visiting Sullivan from out of town. Stopped by on a whim on a Thursday night to order pizza for delivery. The young gal at the counter was polite and said pizza would arrive in about 35-45 minutes. After over an hour we called to double check that we left the right address. After another 25 minutes we called again and they shared the delivery guy was behind and had two stops left. When he arrived he was rude and blamed the delay on the gal that took our order. The pizza was cold, crust was soft, and a frozen pizza would have tasted better. I didn't expect much from their typical cardboard pie but the delivery guy didn't need to be so rude. Tnt is way better. Too bad they were closed. Sorry Monicals but you...
