Iron Kettle — Restaurant in Sulphur Springs

I will never go back to the iron kettle ever again. The owner was hateful and very rude. She acted like it was such an inconvenience to serve me and was mad that I didnt order ahead. I went to wait by the door and she said I couldnt wait by the front I had to get away from the building. Me a paying customer can't stand there and wait on my food?? The food was blan no seasoning and luke warm and the sirloin was not cooked how I specified I could have taken a hunk of the cow it was so rare. I should have just cooked my own meal would have been so much better.

I have wanted to review for so long and held back. Here goes…. It’s sad that the owner ( Melinda) is so rude and hateful. This restaurant carries the sweetest stories from times past. I believe that is why people patronize it. The food is disgusting… French fries taste like they were fried in old oil fish was fried in. Chili has way too much spaghetti in it, I can’t say I enjoyed any of the food. I could have tolerated some when in a crunch… but the bad attitude kept me from returning. When I walked into the restaurant I was thinking one of the Iron Kettle’s great breaded tenderloin sandwiches, but once I saw the Special Board with a Ham Salad sandwich my mind was fairly well made up. After inquiring with my server if the Ham Salad is made from scratch or like so many places container distributor supplied and found out it is made from scratch I was sold.
