The Twisted Pig of Summerton — Restaurant in Summerton

We visited The Twisted Pig for the first time and WOW I cannot stop thinking about The Brisket tacos I had. I did NOT expect to have such a mouth watering flavor and texture of tender brisket in a taco! The perfect combination of brisket, sauce, coleslaw (which I have never enjoyed coleslaw and I actually ATE it and LOVED it!) I may ever meet!

The only downside to this? I am so enamored by this Brisket Taco that I don't know how I'll force myself to order anything else!

With that being said, there were three of us visiting this day, two of us ordered the Brisket Tacos while the third person in our party ordered the Steak Smash Burger and HOLY Mother of all that is "Burger". If you are not a fan of tacos, May I suggest you order the Steak Smash Burger. You will NOT be disappointed if Burgers are your thing and you are looking for the next WOW burger!

Also, I don't want to forget to mention the fries that come with these meals... I don't know WHAT magic they do to these fries, as I am NOT a giant fan of fries, but these had thee PERFECT crisp textured outside with just right soft texture inside. But the flavor... I don't know how anyone could have perfected a fry, without over powering your meal, but they did.

You guys, make the trip! Go to Summerton, eat at Twisted Pig, and then visit the cute shops on that same block. It is WORTH a couple hours out of your day!

I highly dislike the customer service I received tonight! I called at 7:45 and asked the young lady over the phone what time do they stop serving food/taking orders because I saw on fb the hours said 8:30. She stated oh you have time we actually close at 9 tonight. I said okay I’l just come in because I’m not far. I got there 8:15 2 waitress were putting chairs up and as I was knocking on the door they ignored me, laughed and made comments “we’re closed don’t she see we’re closed and told the ladies behind the counter to take the food away from the buffet” I called the phone while standing outside I watched the young lady sat by the phone and let it rang and looked up to see if it was me calling and put her head back down. That was very rude! For my first time wanting to try this restaurant from a co worker constantly sharing these post, I am upset about the way I was treated...

The food was amazing! I love the pulled pork. I tried two of the barbecue sauces and they were so phenomenal that I had to ask of course they were home made . Sweet Red and their Golden mustard (I think) delicious!!! The ladies there were so sweet especially Johannah. She helped us figure out the menu and she was a joy to talk to. We came from Charleston on a recommendation from a work acquaintance and I am already spreading the word. You have to stop here and eat. You will enjoy it for sure. We will be coming back.
