These are some of the best ribs I've ever had. If you want the ribs, you need to call ahead on a Thursday and then go pick them up (even if you eat in person). If you don't call ahead, they'll be out by the time you get there! But they can sometimes even save them for you if you call Thursday but won't be able to get there until Friday. :)

The atmosphere is also fun. It's kind of a quirky little place on the side of the road that appears to grow from the inside out once you get in there. Sit outside if the weather is nice and you'll see the eclectic, vintage decor, beautiful plants, and fish in the water.

Their employees are kind and helpful, and they will come find you to serve you your food when it's ready. It's very fast service as the meat is already made (they spend the week cooking and smoking, and then are only open Thursday - Sunday...and once they're out, they're out...sides are made same-day, but same thing).

First, I love BBQ, and SC has some good BBQ, but it’s not my style. I had been hesitant to try here, but after so many recommendations and people telling me they are different from the rest, I gave in. My hubby and I visited for lunch on a Saturday, not too long of a wait to order, and the food was ready very quickly. We wanted to try a few things so I got the BBQ Pork sandwich with red rice and green beans (with white taters in them too!) and the hubby got the brisket with Mac and cheese and baked beans. We also snagged a piece of red velvet cake while there was a piece left. I wish we could have tried here sooner. You can smell the meat as soon as you enter, the serving portions are huge, but best of all the bbq is downright delicious, with sauce served on the side. Sauces are simple with 3 types available but they are done right and they are good. I’m not a vinegar BBQ fan, but the sweet red and mustard are actually quite good. We were traveling from Ga on an important doctor's visit. My boyfriend found this place looking for really good authentic SC BBQ. The welcome we received was so amazing. The lady behind the corner was so sweet and had a smile the entire time. The cook he was such a gentleman and we were even able to sample (which was a generous portion 😁). They were very quick and knowledgeable about their food. You could tell they loved and enjoyed cooking. They didn't have a military discount but the lady thanked me for my service and offered me a free beverage. Then walking out to the seating area. It was nice once we got to the waterfall seating. It made talking quite nice. It was subtle, peaceful and you could still carryon a nice conversation. To our suprise, the cook surprised me with a slice of fresh red velvet cake (which happe ed to be my favorite). We will definitely be back when we come to SC.
