Flabbergasted. My girlfriend shops here multiple times a week for our meats and today is the first time I have been able to go with her. Never again. While the meats are reasonably priced and of decent quality, the professionalism and customer service is some of the worst I have ever experienced. It is so terrible in fact that I am contemplating taking over the grocery shopping so that we can start going to Merindorf's in Mason. Sure it's further away, as we live 3 blocks away, but I've never heard a Merindorf employee ask someone "Do you know what you want?", "Is that all?", or "Can I help you?" with a rotten condescending tone. No one looks as if they want to be there and they certainly do not sound like they want to do be there. I drive 45 minute to Lansing so that we can go to Horrocks for our vegetables because of the customer service and quality products. Please do better so that I no longer want to drive to Mason for my meats and so that I can change my review of A&A Meats.

I have been going to A&A since the early 80s and stopped by today and picked up my jerkey and hunter sticks. I have spent at least a hundred dollars A month with my family since I was a kid going with my grandfather Art. Who passed a few years ago he was my hero and I can only hope to be good of man as he was for 96 years. Miss him and the farm we grew up on between Norvell and Brooklyn Irish hills 1973 Culbert family farm. Art and Neva their kids and grandchildren I am the oldest grandson living I am standing with my cousin Keith Hinton Raymond Jones in the front

If I tell you about the ny strip and how they have the best price in town for a whole roll, well...just leave me one please! So tender and fresh. They will trim the fat and cut them to whatever thickness you choose AND Wrap them up however you want. You want 2 steaks per pack? 4? 6? Its up to you!...I like inch thick, but I'll go just under if it squeezes me out an extra steak! Lol. Also they have this Amish milk that has some cream on top..so good, the iced coffee and chocolate milk such a treat!

Just had the worst experience at a&a meat market. Mind you, This was my first time ever coming into the establishment and I live right down the road. I typically shop for meat at meijer but they didn’t have what I wanted tonight (go figures) anywho, Inside with all 3 of my children. There happened to be a cart by the door where they had their baskets out, I was like cool an accommodation to people who need it (I definitely did with my feral toddler) a women approach’s us in the store aggressively stating I can’t have the cart inside of the store (it was already there?) and then proceeded to escalate the situation to the workers trash talking me like I was an idiot because apparently she was a previous employee and “knew the rules”. If this was this big of an issue why didn’t one of the 10 employees working or one of the two employees who waited on me state I could not have the cart, But instead of them telling this woman to stop harrasing a paying customer they didn’t say anything, This woman was using vulgar language infront of my children and I had to yell at her to stop using the language she was infront of my children. I then look at the employees and state “omg I did not know I couldn’t have the cart, This is my first time here I apologize” the woman then exits the store, Waits for me outside and then proceeds to yell at me more infront of my children. As a business or friend of this woman it is your job to uphold the reputation of your store and this behavior infront of 3 young children is unacceptable by a previous employee in which you did nothing....

I had heard rave reviews about their beef, specifically their standing rib roasts ( a roast with bones, sometimes called prime rib, but that's not really accurate). It is very difficult to find a standing rib roast at any time other than Christmas from any butcher. I called before and asked if they had standing rib roasts and was told "yes, every day, just come in and we'll cut it for you". I asked if I needed to order it in advance and they said no, had them everyday. I drove 45 minutes to Jackson and when I asked for a standing rib roast the clerk went into the back, came out and asked "is that beef". Not a good sign. Then another person came out and said they only had roasts without bones. Who knows what he was talking about. Finally a butcher came out and said , "I don't know why they tell people that on the phone, we haven't had them for months and they're just too expensive to stock". I had to drive to Eastern Market in Canton, which is the only place that has standing rib year round to find a standing rib roast for this special event. It took most of the day. Will never go there again and the staff has no idea what...
