Imagine Planet — Attraction in Jackson

I took my boys here today, and they loved it. They loved seeing and petting the different animals. The man who showed us around was very friendly and knowledgeable. People giving bad reviews and complaining about the "mess" or the "smell" are ridiculous. The floor is a bit dirty because of the animals, and it does smell like animals. But that's because the place is filled with animals! And from what I understand it's being run by a husband and wife, with some volunteers. What do people expect? And they don't charge you anything. Took my nephew. He loved the animals, and director is friendly and engaging. But place is filthy! There is trash everywhere and the bathroom was especially bad. It is hard to walk through due to the garbage everywhere. Animal cages were clean, but otherwise the place needs serious clean up and organization, esp b/c it is small. If they're serious about corporate sponsors they need to apply some elbow grease. I am a teacher and although this place has great potential, I would not go back unless improvements are made. It's so hard to rate this. The lady running it ... super friendly and knowledgeable. Great experiments. There is a microscope with a screen so kids can see easily. Magnetic games, skeletons, marble run sets, different types of rocks, and some fish tanks. Problem #1, dirty and unkept. #2 disorganized #3 fish tanks are absolutely full of algae.
