O Sole Mio Pizzeria & Grill — Restaurant in Summit

My husband & I recently went to O Sole Mio Pizzeria & Grill on Springfield Ave in Summit, NJ and the food was just okay. The cook and owner are Spanish speaking, so maybe that explains why the food does not taste like authentic ITALIAN food.

I ordered the chicken parm and it was so-so. The chicken tasted like it was purchased from Restaurant Depot...NOT fresh chicken breast cutlets. My husband also ordered chicken parm with ziti. He said his chicken tasted freezer burnt. Their red sauce is really sub par.

We would recommend MARCELLO'S in Berkeley Heights, NJ for much better Italian food and a MUCH NICER ATMOSPHERE ! Or COPPOLA'S in New...

FINALLY! A good pizza place at this location. I was always turned off by the place that was there before cuz not only was the food mediocre but the workers were RUDE (except the only female working there). I was so ecstatic to hear that a new place took over with new management/owners! Decided to try them tonight for dinner and OMG! The food was phenomenal and the staff was nice!!!! Definitely going to be coming back and telling everyone how great it is! I really wish this business luck since the last pizza place that was there left a bad taste in our mouths but I’m sure word will spread soon at how great of a replacement pizza...

Changing review to 3 stars because for $20 received a bacon cheeseburger that was not great and 2 liter of coke. The patty was not even a centimeter thick and it was frozen not fresh. The garnishes (lettuce,tomato,onion,bacon)were thicker than the burger and it wasn't seasoned well.Also the fries were pale and limp not golden and crispy.. The Cuban sandwich was good. Toasty,crunchy long roll, tender juicy pork nicely seasoned with a few bonus crunchy bits. Melty cheese and fries were legit too. I appreciate that they put in a few ketchup packets and a small ramekin of a zesty aioli without me...
