Can’t share about the food, but this past Saturday, February 1st, the bartender with a buzz cut and forearm tattoo about 6’0 caused a scene because he thought I had a fake ID. Upon showing him the date and scanning my ID, (my literal junior operators license as I’m born in 2003, not just a regular/typical fake-able state ID) he still harassed me and ruined my mood for the bar. After that, I went to another bar where there wasn’t a drunk bartender harassing the customers. Another woman who worked there noticed our argument over the ID and assured me he was usually confrontational and rude and to let it go which I appreciated, and I did once he gave me my ID back. He was very drunk behind the bar and slurring his words while accusing me of thinking he was stupid as well as raising his voice at me. He insulted me and tried to bully me into admitting I was under 21, which I am not. Just the thought of having to deal with that bartender again means me or anyone I ever hang out with to won’t be going here, and I’ll be sure to direct people AWAY. Unless I know that guy doesn’t work there anymore, I couldn’t recommend anyone this place because they’d potentially get harassed and berated. The owner deserves to know that one bartender, who is easily replaceable, is driving away customers and money. Every other member of the staff was quite kind and polite. The bartender who harassed me harassed everyone who came his way, and didn’t listen when people asked him to leave them alone, probably because he was drinking on the job. He admitted to being “not that drunk.” (it’s illegal in Massachusetts to drink as a bartender too which can get the bar shut down). Just leaving this review for the owner of this bar as a piece of advice to stop paying that bartender to lose you money and risk...
Read moreI'm not sure what it's like the rest of the week - but on Friday night it's a bit like "Animal House"; and I mean that in a GOOD way! Such a great surprise to see live music, we don't have enough here in the Valley, in my humble opinion! There's a house band made up of a core crew of talented players that allows visiting musicians to "sit in," keeping it super fun for all. The repertoire is a fantastic catalog of classic rock favorites, and yes, they happily take requests - just drop something in the tip jar because they're not paid for their outstanding performances; they do it because they LOVE it, and it shows! I really liked the eclectic mix of townies and students (even professors!) from UMass, enjoying a great time together in a very friendly environment. The staff are a stretched a bit thin, but work their tails off to keep the drinks flowing; special shout out to Davique and Arcy behind the bar - always cheerful, friendly, and professional! Drinks are very reasonably priced, too. I wasn't aware of any available food, everyone was just drinking - hence the three stars. If you're looking for a great time, in a no frills, come-as-you-are atmosphere, check out The O's on a Friday night; I was briefly transported back to my own time at UMass, which...
Read moreThis is a strong 2 because this place is tiny and has no vibes it has some pool tables but overall it’s just some random small town bar that happens to attract a lot of college students there needs to be some new bars/clubs. The African American bartender with long hair is the goat he’s a great bartender only problem is there’s only one usally so service takes forever on busy nights. So that’s why service is a 3. The kareoke helps get the atmosphere from a 1 to a 2 but there needs to definitely be an expansion or something cause the place is like 200sq ft so it’s hard to have vibes. Lines are also long and weird older dudes sometimes...
