What ever happened to restaurants caring if their customers returned. We are long time loyal customers of Bandanas. Tonight we ordered carry out and my husband picked it up on the way home from work. He mistakenly didn’t check the bag. When he got home we realized my son’s order was missing. I understand things happen and people make mistakes. So we called and they said yes they forgot to put the order in the bag and apologized. My husband said our son was coming to get it but we were 20 minutes away. Im pretty sure the meal was not even remade but only kept warm. By the time he got home he had to reheat it in the oven. We spent 80$ and left a tip to the carry out person. I rarely complain and certainly never complain hoping to get something for free but it bothers me that nowadays places dont even bother to offer a 5$ gift card towards a next visit or a dessert for the trouble of having to come back. I worked in the restaurant industry all of my teens into my 20’s and it was the standard to make things right!! Between the rising cost of the dependable but pretty basic food and now this experience I have to say you may have lost...

I have been visiting Bandana's since it was just one restaurant in a little Arnold strip shopping center in the 90's. Needless to say I liked it.
I have visited 6 of their restaurants including the old Arnold location, and I have to say that I am most impressed with their overall consistency. Especially at the Gravois restaurant. In the couple of hundred times I have gone there over the years, I have only had one meal that wasn't perfect. It was still good, but it wasn't quite up to their regular standard. That impresses me immensely.
I have never been to a restaurant more than a few times and not had a less-than-stellar meal sneak in there somewhere down the line. It happens once in a while and that's ok. No worries.
The Gravois location though, has consistently given me delicious food. I can't emphasize the importance of that statement. This is why I patronize them as...
Read moreDid a family lunch here at Bandana’s Bar-B-Q was supposed to be 4 adults and 3 children, the order placed quickly and the wait was a bit longer than expected here. Food was brought out as 3 adult lunches and 4 children, told our waitress the issue but it didn’t get fixed right away and ended up having to ask again about the correct order, instead of just getting the correct order they suggested to eat the kids meal and then brought out an extra 2 ounces of meat but, by the time it came we had already completed eating so the one ate alone while the rest watched. Food was not bad for the BBQ and the sides at least in my opinion were less than what I was expecting for here in St Louis. I hope that they improve as this pandemic ends and we get back to some normalcy. Have had better downtown STL and wished I would have taken them downtown for their visit, they were glad to have tried the BBQ here...
