My family visited this location and found them to be less than welcoming. Understanding that this location is less not the typical site for a family dinner - it does showcase itself as a bar / resturant. Given that there is very little available in the brimley area I would expect it not be the first time they saw a family stop in. We could not only not be seated, but they never waited on us. We left in disgust. There were flie everywhere - there was no greeting or care that we were bringing with us a c-note bill and likely a decent tip. Based on the looks we received from the clients in the "bar" and the lack of service it felt like there was a general disregard for a large native american family. Also no sign posted on the door about no credit cards, just a small print in the menu the waitress so nicely pointed out AFTER we ordered and consumed our food, and she mentioned "we take personal checks too"...who the heck carries a checkbook anymore???? Continue your journey onward up the road to the Pickles Bar and Grill in Brimley or Antlers in the Soo, I believe these restaurants are smart enough to have credit...
Read moreI have been going to Cozy Inn (or "Pete's", as my family knows it) for many, many years (honestly, as long as I can remember). It has always been great food and fast service! I would definitely consider it reliable - you always know you're going to get great food. My late grandpa (a resident of Brimley) would always get the whitefish tails, which never failed to impress him. Their fish is great, never leaving a fishy aftertaste or the smell of fish lingering on your fingers. Their Friday night fish is the best! Eleven years ago, I introduced this place to my husband (then boyfriend) and he loves it just as much as I do. It's a staple of any trip...
