A sigh of relief a breakfast steak to order, rare thee occasion... Atmospherically the environmental is very mom & pops, I appreciate the menu's tribute to Jeanne Pasquill Symonds 1957- 2014. Beautiful to see the roots of a local business and the sprouts of the business and its upbringing continually being honored. Boppin with locals even at 10am can only imagine a weekend! Belgium waffle was a delight before departure back to Keene, NH. Absolutely worth the drive don't be persuaded by decievers like Alaxander. Though as a food Shnab snob snooder I'll always be biased the demographics of Cooks & BBQ it can improve & should / hopefully will potato be lackin the pollock in me cringed my guy! Semper Fidelis.

This place is AWESOME!! Found it during recent visit to the area, exploring local 'diners' (sort of like my own Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives) and this place is a true WINNER! Of the beaten path, but only a short drive from Keene, it virtually stands-alone of the road. The decor is plain & simple, but the service and & good are impeccable! Obviously, a fav of locals with many regulars; but even as a first timer, it felt like home. Menu is extensive and large board of daily specials. Coffee was great, meal was fantastic! I'll be back on future visits!!

I ordered the rueben omelet the same thing I did over 2 yrs ago. It was exactly the same great omelet. The corned beef was nice and fall apart, the sauerkraut was not over powering and the sauce just brought it all together. Just like 2 years ago. My girlfriend got the eggs Benedict the eggs were cooked perfect and the ham was nice and tender easy to cut through. The sauce was velvety and delicious. The wait staff if very friendly and knowledgeable. Will be going back. In my honest opinion best breakfast around.

Food has 4 stars..eggs were perfect, toast was fresh, coffee hot and fresh. kielbasa and home fries cooked and seasoned well; onions were paid for however they did not make it into my home fries. Pancakes were Good but not from scratch; rubbery after sitting few minutes. Service gets 2 stars. Waitress could take an order--When I stated shortly after sitting I already knew what I would like to eat and if I could place my order, the waitress told me wait a minute(actually 10 minutes) and took only my order for coffee. The creamer provided came from another table not chilled and the creamer ( from table recently vacated and uncleared) was not washed and I was therefore using bad temp zone, germ zone item someone else had used before me. The waitstaff had assisted in filling 5 tables of beverages( some with refills) before I was almost done eating. When I was finally asked how food actually was. At which point I had to request more coffee even with my having placed empty mug on edge of table as a hint. I explained when sitting I would be placing an order to go sometime before my meal was over and it wasn't until my check came that the waitress asked about togo order and in lieu of poor service received I declined to do so at that time. I have over 10 years of customer service which is why my critique is so heavy. I have a well rounded understanding of customer service expectations and details are always key. My total bill was 14.15 I tipped 3.85- not because it was earned, but a tip is expected in this type of establishment and you should do so when dining out. So overall 3 stars with...

Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by what I assumed to be the hostess by “you can sit anywhere that’s open”. I looked over the host stand to see this person sitting down on her phone not paying much attention to guest entering. After ordering our meal, the hostess saw that our table had been taking over by spilt sugar packets from our 3 year old and immediately came over with a trash barrel and held it over our faces to try to clean them up. We asked politely if we could keep them until we left. so she placed the barrel under our table and told us we could throw them away when done. Food came out and to be honest, it was one of the worst breakfast I’ve had to date. We ordered 2 specials A apple pie french toast and raspberry chocolate chip pancakes both were beyond bland and the pancakes had no chocolate chips - just raspberry jam.The hostess proceeded to go up to multiple tables with a lollipop sticking out of her mouth taking payments. And the fact that she stared at our table the entire time we were there made us extremely uncomfortable. Definitely will not...

Great, hearty food. I bring my out of town guests here regularly and have never had a bad meal. Even my New York foodie friends are satisfied.

Standouts are the Reuben Omlette, Eggs Benedict, Mexican and Western Omlettes, and the Breakfast Buritto. The hash browns are great, especially if you ask for crispy, with onions, but that's optional, which is nice. Or you can have a hash brown patty, which is a total guilty pleasure, and just about the only situation in which I use ketchup at breakfast.

The pancake and waffle creations are amazing looking, but I don't do swert breakfasts. My friends are always happy and stuffed. The plain pancakes are fluffy and beautiful. Splurge and get the real maple syrup, which is available for an upcharge.

The service is always very friendly and the prices are reasonable. The decor isn't much, but it's clean.

Do be prepared to wait, especially on weekend mornings.

The coffee is fine for what it is, but I wish they had an espresso machine or a better / darker roast of coffee. That's my only...
