Black Squirrel Tap — Restaurant in Swisher

Came here with about 12 people the other day, the service was great. Didn't hover and gave us space to talk and enjoy ourselves. So, for a bar, top notch service (by one lady, who also cooked all the food too). The food was alright, I got the burger. The cheese was cold-ish and the burger was overdone. But the wings were absolutely a hit. Light crisp, and not the huge wings that look like they got testosterone injected into them, but just the right size. Pizza was also okay too. Their Bloody Mary's looked absolutely amazing, a meal in itself. My mom and her girlfriend got one and they were filled with a huge sausage, cheese stick, celery and a couple other things. The atmosphere was good too. The music was good, and the place literally filled up within a half hour. This was on a Saturday around 11-12pm too. So all around, for a small Swisher bar, excellent. Very nice small town bar. It's in swisher iowa. I was there about 7pm last night and they had bingo going on. Swisher is a very nice and quiet little town. LOVE it there!!!!!!!!!!!!! The grocery store is ol time and I loved it there to. Swisher is about 5 min south of cedar rapids just follow 6th street south of cedar rapids and you will come up to a 4 way stop take a right and you will be there in about 5 min but watch your speed as your going into it because the speed limit changes pretty fast from that stop sign where you make your right turn off of 6th street. I love this place. It is the true definition of a "Tap". If you're being loud and obnoxious the bartender will tell you to shut up and drink your beer. Truly reflects the people of Swisher. Hard working good people. You don't drive into Swisher like you're in Las Vegas. Blinded with bright lights that blind you. Black Squirrel and surrounding businesses in Swisher reflect the people.
