Back Road Ale House — Restaurant in Swoyersville

VERY. GOOD. I was here on a Tuesday, not busy, so excellent atmosphere (for me) to sample the offerings. It was burger night, I actually feel bad I didn't partake, it looked great going across the bar to another customer...if it was as good as the other food then absolutely...but I was here for the wing dip. Not many places I know of have it as a regular item on their menu, so I had to try. Decent portion, served hot, tasty, and you could actually tell there was chicken in it, not just a mass of cream cheese and hot sauce. My only complaint? The chips... too much salt! The dip itself is salty enough, the chips are a punch. But I'm thinking they were probably bought like that. Generous coating of cheese baked on the dip too. Cheese lovers rejoice! I also tried their chili, which isn't something I'd usually order out, I'm GLAD I did! It was great, tasted like a lot of care was put into making it. It IS spicy imo, but I think it's perfect. I also added pickled jalapeños and sour cream (a light sprinkle of cheese would look great on top too). Took home a small, sweet sauce pie, half pepperoni, which was also good. Yes, loaded with cheese, I (and the other half) approve. Will come back for more of everything! Service? ...also great. Had some good conversation with the bartender and her SO I believe, and another regular. Toward closing I wasn't rushed, happily ate what I could. Thanks for a relaxing food...

You Need To Know? Arrived for 5:45 & was able to sit immediately. Service was prompt & drinks were cold! Ordered the space fries, bacon cheeseburger quesadilla, chicken salad & a 6 cut tray of the fried sicilian.Sicilian. The chicken cheese steak came out as a cheese steak & needed to be sent back. The space fries were literally out of this world! Home cut fries with cheeses, gravy & bacon, yummmm, highly recommend! The quesadilla was a bit greasy for a quesadilla but then again it's a cheeseburger so it is to be expected. Back Road Ale House is worth a stop....

My husband and I came in sat down at the seating of our choice. Literally in minutes our waitress greeted us and took our order of drinks. She served them cold and fast then took our food order 😋 in seconds after.We ordered up the Buffalo wing dip. It is EXCELLENT ! Also a house salad. It was fresh and crisp. 👌 We had the Sicilian cheese pizza and it had a generous amount of 🧀 cheese on it. We ❤ our cheese on are pizza. They are very fair on the prices of the food here.
