American Deli — Restaurant in Sylacauga

I placed an order through Uber eats to this restaurant. After placing the order the delivery time went from 31 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes. So I immediately cancelled it through the same Uber eats app.. They never refunded my money. I was told by Uber eats customer service that because American deli accepted the order they won't refund the money. Even tho I cancelled it because it was gonna take them too long to bring it. THEY KEPT MY $49.82 for the order. I am seeking anyone in management to speak with verbally of this issue. In this country thats called THEFT!! I refuse to just give them money for simply saying oh yeah we accept your order. But I cancel it and they still keep My money!! I am requesting someone in management reach out to me. If I have to continue to post this on every social media site I can I will. Just called the American American deli in sylacauga Alabama spoke with a supervisor and she stated that she can't reform my money back. That Uber eats is supposed tp refund my money back. Call Uber eats and they say that American deli has to refund my money back because they accepted the order. Now your telling me I paid $33.00 for some food I NEVER RECEIVED!!! AND NOBODY WANTS TO GIVE ME MY DARN MONEY BACK?!!! ARE YOU FREAKN SERIOUS. I NOTICED THE OWNER OF AMERICAN DELI RESPONDS TO ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS BUT DOES NOT RESPOND TO THESE NEGATIVE REVIEWS BECAUSE ITS AN AUTOMATED RESPONSE TO POSITIVE REVIEWS ONLY CLEARLY. SO UNTOL SOMEONE RESOLVES THIS ISSUE I GUESS I HAVE TO CONSULT AN ATTORNEY OVER A FEW DOLLARS. BUT ITS NOT THE MONEY ITS THE PRINCIPLE OF IT. I REFUSE TO BE ROBBED FOR AN AMOUNT OF MONEY FROM ANYONE. I went there a week ago after 9pm and ordered a beef philly and a chicken philly both with special instructions and the guy was beyond polite taking the order and even when paying. We had to wait just a few minutes for our food but I didn't mind especially if that meant it was hot and fresh and when a different guy came out to hand us our food, he said that if it was wrong then it was on the house since the owner made it and I will say it was the BEST! Tonight I go there around 940pm and the guy immediately tells me that they are no longer taking orders since they were shorthanded and backed up. I said to him that I just wanted a philly meal and would gladly wait and replied that they can't make a philly 45 min before they close which is 10pm so that they can shut their grill down and clean it and refused me service. I don't know what bothers me more, the fact that they apparently serve food that has been previously cooked and sat to the side for when someone orders or the fact that the employees were too lazy to make a customers order that they offer especially considering if it weren't for people like me who do come and pay money for food then you wouldn't have a job or a source of revenue. The owner needs to reprimand this employee since if it were my business, I wouldn't refuse anyone who wanted to pay me money for something that I sell nor would I allow them to either serve old food or shut down equipment before the close of business. I use to love and frequent this place all the time and have spent quite a bit of money there and let's face it, this place isn't the cheapest by any means and the quality and quantity is good, but I won't spend another penny here if this is how they treat...

I have tried this place out 3 times the Philly steak and cheese is the best one I’ve had around but I get the meal with the wings and each time I’m like well maybe it’s just a bad night for wings but after the 3rd time I don’t. Believe it’s just a bad night for wings just bad wings in general flavor is ok but the wings are sooo tiny and over cooked that each time I can’t eat but 1 or 2 like 3 of these wings would equal 1 wing from other places then some of them are so crunch my it’s not even meat anymore just take a bite and it’s like powder in your mouth very disappointing like I said most the time I can only eat 1 or 2 bc the other ones are so hard you can’t bite them and when you do it seriously is like it’s freeze dried that’s how badly there over cooked then they are so small the 1 or 2 I can actually eat I just get a nibble of meat off of them and there gone, so good Philly steaks most of the time the one I had tonight tasted really burnt and the lettuce I paid for was like brown and gross looking I had to pick it off.
