We drive between KC and eastern missouri along this route a few times a year. Last time, we noted this place had opened and were excited that a small town could get some asian food. This trip we called in an order to go and it was ready for pickup in 15m! perfect alternative to long drive through lines for fast food. The best part - the food was delicious! We had the pad see ew, chili basil stir fry and gyoza and they were all very flavorful, comparable to restaurants in KC. Would recommend trying this place if you’re passing through. The crab rangoon is absolutely amazing—crispy on the outside, perfectly creamy and flavorful on the inside. I could honestly eat a dozen of them and still want more. Their fried rice is hands-down the BEST I’ve ever had anywhere. It’s full of rich, savory flavors and perfectly cooked—not too greasy, not too dry—just right. I drove past this place a month or so ago knowing it would be a little taste of Thailand. I met Paul & Pen today & they are extremely hard working & very kind people. As suspected, if the store front didn’t grasp your attention, Pen’s food will. I was absolutely amazed with how similar the food was to how I grew up with my grandmothers cooking. Absolutely amazing.
