This is my third time going to this location My first time going to this location was back in February there was a guy there that was assisting me he was very pushy and didn't really allow me to look at their menu I wanted more than just donuts but I walked out of there with just donuts so that was a loss of his store The second time I went in there they didn't have a large selection and they were closing That's my fault for going so late today is the third time I went in there today there was a lady working very pushy not a good listener I ordered 12 donuts she gave me 11 when I went outside I seen that they were only 11 donuts I went back inside and told the lady that Arizona 11 donuts and that I needed one more she took the box out of my hand and start counting the donuts into another box but she was counting them she was actually throwing them where two donuts had dropped on the floor I had asked her if she was okay and she says what do you want what do you want I said I just need one more donut I bought a dozen and you only gave me 11 We kept going back and forth for at least 7 minutes some other couple had walked in and I asked them if they could help me but they just looked at me like if I was retarded finally I looked at the lady I said look ma'am I don't know if you guys are scared of black people but breathe All I need is 12 donuts finally she gave me 12 donuts and I left I will never come back to this location again like I said this is my third time going and I haven't experienced a good experience with this place yet I don't know how they got a 4.6 in reviews but I will tell you another donut place is called fusion f u s i o n and it's on 2102 commerce Street in Tacoma Washington they have a variety of donuts they have happy hour they have tacos shrimp tacos steak tacos that's the spot...

Menu mentions banana fritters, however, my two experiences with this place have led to disappointment in the fritter department, as banana is seemingly never an available option. The woman working behind the counter on my last visit was pushing milkshake/ice cream even after I had (I thought) made it clear that I only wanted just the one donut. Overall, the selection is a bit more varied than your typical donut shop, but the lack of availability and up-to-date inventory information on the online menu leaves much to be desired. I would still prefer Helen's over Dockside, where the rude staff serve dry donuts guaranteed to go hard before the day is done, with the unmistakable flavor of old frying oil in desperate need of changing. If I had to choose, the Countryside Donuts chain is by far the best I've had in Western Washington, thus far. Definitely worth the drive for fluffy, cloud-like glazed donuts that tastes freshly made even on the second morning. However, for those who can't make such a distant trip, I recommend they opt for this place instead. The best part is, Swan Creek trailhead is just a couple of blocks away, so you can burn off the energy from that sugary-sweet donut with a beautiful stroll through the woods. Oh, and I almost forgot; you do get free donut holes with every purchase,...

Honesty where to begin I had admired Helen donut shop But today I was really disappointed. I love supporting small businesses ! From time to time I most definitely stop by to get donuts love the wife’s energy but the husbands not so much ever but today made me really Not wanna ever step foot in there! I travel far across town so I figured pop in grab a donut And use the restroom but the man was so rude about it mind I add I always talk with the wife & clearly today get a donut and get out ! I said I travel far for work and still can’t use the restroom it’s pretty sad that as a customer they won’t even allow you to use the restroom ! I’m all for supporting small businesses but for that I will not no longer support ! Just really rude and to say that’s why you use the restroom before you leave your house ! Tuhhh I am well aware of that but if I am stopping to get a donut and spending money and can’t use the restroom that’s sad !!! DO BETTER HELENS DONUT SHOP !!! And they say support your own ! With rude and uptight attitude of...

This small donut shop has a very nice selection of large Donuts and ice cream. The prices are reasonable and the donuts really taste good. For example, they have multiple flavored big fritters, Apple, Banana, and a couple of others (see photos). You can even buy a nice bag of donut holes for $1.50, which I do on a regular basis when I'm in the area. The Donut Shop is small and almost hidden in plain sight with a very friendly staff/owners. I'm surprised it's not more popular than it is, it's just that most people don't know it exists. So, if you find yourself the intersection Portland Avenue and 56th Street in Tacoma, look at the corner of the strip mall to find Helen's Donuts. Try this place out and I'm sure you'll like it. Hey... they even have ice cream!

I came about 4pm on a weekend and donut case was still really full meaning they don’t run out when you have a donut craving mid day. Selection was great! Donuts are airy and nice just like you’d expect from a donut. I really only came for The ice Cream but ended up walking out with 4 bags of donut holes. Now on to the ice cream. Prices are so much better than some of these chain brands and tastes the exact same. Not cheap tasting but quality was spot on to the chain brands. My favorite thing was that she didn’t skimp on the portion. My cone was loaded. Customer service was great. First time ever coming but will for sure be back. Best place I’ve found in tacoma to date. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but walk in. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

This was my first time visiting this shop. It is located in a quaint plaza on the corner of the plaza. Inside, you will be surprised with donuts, ice cream, and chips, and I believe I read smoothies! I was greeted upon entry by what was a shy gentleman. Upon looking over their selection of various donuts, a female employee came in and was very pleasant during my visit. I ordered half a dozen mixed variety. To include original glaze, twister, raspberry filled, and chocolate glaze. I would say that the original glaze was my favorite as it was very light and fresh.
