Lulu's Bakery Shop — Restaurant in Tacoma

Hidden gem, my new go to bakery!! I was looking for a sweet treat to take to dinner with friends, found this place. I am so glad I did. First, must share, follow the Google directions, she is not in a commercial location, so you might think Google is wrong like I did. The bakery is tucked back in a small cluster of 3 houses, there is a dedicated parking spot, look for the sign. She is a one person shop, so if the lights are on and the door is locked, just give a knock, she is just in the kitchen whipping up bakery magic! The place is as sweet as the owner, and you won't be disappointed by her available treats.the owner is wonderful, a woman who has found her gift and following her passion. While I dont have need for this kind of thing often, this will be my go to spot going forward. I can't wait to need a special occasion cake. On this trip, I purchased 3 cupcakes and a cheesecake style square, ugh! Can't remember what it was called, however, I can tell you that they were a huge hit, delicious, way better than anything I could have made and definitely better than any grocery store version. This was my second time ordering from Lulu’s Bakery and not only did it meet my expectations- once again- but it also exceeded them. She was so generous and understanding. I appreciated the fact that she took my order even though it was a last minute one. I know she’s busy and always booked but after such a great experience and great cake for my first order. I knew I wanted to place another order with her. So, I was very thankful she took my order for my brothers sweet 16 cake. Seeing as I placed my order last minute I was willing to just make it a simple one. It was to my surprise when she sent a pic of the finalized cake and it was more than I asked for but in a good way. OMG!! while doing a search foe a bakery found this little gem, and not to be too heavy handed, it was like providence. Just needed a few sweet treats but wanted them to be special, didn't want to just pop into the grocery store.knocked it out of the park with this little gem! I was the star 🌟 when my friends tried these wonderful treats. I can't wait for an occassion to go back. This is not something I need or do often, but this is now my go to spot.
