Louie's Chicken Fingers — Restaurant in Tallassee

We decided to try Louie's Chicken tonight and sadly we were disappointed. The price is a little steep for the amount of food we received. We ordered a chicken salad and a turkey meal with sides of fried okra, purple hull peas and sweet tea for both. Total $18. The salad was iceberg lettuce presumably from a bag, It did have 4 chicken strips on it but the texture was a bit off, kind of mushy, which was odd for fried chicken. The Turkey plate had a sad amount of turkey and I felt like I must have gotten the last of their supply for the night, we were there at about 6:30pm. There were two slices of turkey the width of my finger about 1/4 inch thick and maybe 4 inches long they were covered in some sort of grease maybe butter. The flavor was OK, not spectacular but etable. The peas were plain which is not what I am used no salt, no bacon ... basically no flavor. The fried okra was fine, it was pretty much the most enjoyable part of my meal. As for the facility, the staff left a broom and dustpan on a stick in the middle of the isle, it was there before we arrive and was there when we left. I was waiting for a customer to fall and break their neck on it. Overall we left full but not satisfied with the quantity or quality of the food...

Decided to try these guys on a Sunday evening. We arrived at the drive through and placed our order behind 2 other vehicles, nothing out of the ordinary, dinner for 2. We noticed 2 other vehicles arrive behind us, then pull out of line and leave so we wondered if they knew something we didn't. Placing the order at 7:15 pm, we finally arrived at the pick up window and received our food at 7:48...33 minutes later, no explanation or apology from the cashier. We thought the quality of the food might sway our impression but this was not the case. The wings were dry indicating they may have been "held" a while before being sold. Best fried Catfish, service is self-service, place is clean and quiet. Took another first time guest there tonight, 1/5/18 and he found the Catfish to be delicious also. Rated it a " Must come back next week when we come to Tallahassee again!" Added 10/01/21 - can't believe the retards that rated Louie's so poorly. We have made special trips from Ramer, Al to Louie's for their Catfish because it is so good. That's an over 100 mile round trip, folks. Very few places in Central AL serve good Catfish like this place. Never, ever got a bad meal there and the staff has always been exceptionally nice. No, no relatives work there. Try it, you will not be disappointed. Really think the low raters are the type not...
