Coco's at 40th St. Restaurant — Restaurant in Tampa

Got a Breaded Steak Sandwich and a fountain coke. The cuban bread was 5 star, the steak tasted good but there wasn't much meat. The girl that waited on me was nice. I noticed later, the total charged to my card $17.03. It doesn't add up with tax. I called...no answer. I wasn't looking to get a refund, only to let them know they have a problem with their system's math. If they were charging a credit card fee, they never said so. I'll pay for whatever I agree to, but I hate being misled. I might eat here again, but they need to be transparent about their pricing expeciailly charging $17 for a sandwich and a drink.

Update The owner replied and he needs to look at his printed menu on the counter which I have a copy of that I took for future visits as I type this update. It doesn't line up with the price he listed on his own menu. Probably he hasn't printed new menus since his price increase. That being said, I appreciate his attention to the matter and I feel sure when he sees that his printed menus don't match the price he has listed here, he will make the necessary adjustment. Like I said, it wasn't much money, and I wasn't looking for a refund, but only for things to line up. When I called twice to tell him about it, no one answered so I mentioned it here. Was in town visiting family and wanted to eat a good Cuban sandwich. Saw Coco's had good reviews so we gave it a shot. Location had easy access and plenty of parking. Walked in and was greeted immediately. I was thankful for their patience because we were "those" customers that hadn't eaten there before and were spending time on the menu. Once we were ready to order, I noticed something in a hotbox next to the register that resembled Scotch egg. They were stuffed mashed potatoes that were deep fried. We got two of them. It didn't take long at all for our order to be complete. The stuffed potatoes were amazing and my sandwich unbelievably good. Not sure if he was the owner or manager, but he kept checking on us, making sure we were good. We can't wait to go back when we're in town again. My coworkers rave about Coco's and I finally see why. Their service is top notch! Restaurant is clean, bright and has good amount of seating. Acknowledged as soon as we walked in the door with smiling faces and they were so very kind. 2 ladies at the counters took their time to tell us what was in the hot case. Food was so good and HUGE portions with the hot lunch case and the cuban. Cuban was spot on, without lettuce and tomato. Meat and cheese me baby! Beef empanadas were so freaking good as well.
