Kiwa Asian Kitchen Sushi, Korean, Bar & Boba — Restaurant in Tampa

We saw a TikTok of this new place in Tampa and had to check it out. All I can say is WOW. The entire experience was fantastic. Brian greeted us at the door with his super welcoming and hilarious personality. He checked in with us throughout our dinner ensuring we were comfortable and enjoying everything. He helped make recommendations and was just a joy to be around and talk to. He introduced us to his business partner, and Head Chef, Sung. These two are definitely doing something right!! The food was incredible and our service was spot on. We highly recommend the Crab Rangoon, Korean Dumplings, Beef Bulgogi, and Galbi short ribs. Don’t forget about the Fruit Teas & Bobas!! Brian concocted a couple of Sparkling Fruit Teas with his own flavor combinations and they were amazing!! Thank you Brian and Sung for the best experience. I love the vibe of the restaurant! The cold sake is the best sake I ever had. I usually do not drink alcohol but this drink is infused with lychee and it is a perfect balance of sweetness and the bitterness of alcohol. I also ordered the crab rangoon, mussels, Joe’s fresh roll, Bayshore roll, Asian Sensation roll, and Rock N Roll. The crab rangoon is so yummy and innovative. I was shocked to see the “outer shell” being made from perilla leaves so it is light and crunchy. Mussels are a classic app and the texture with the tobiko is perfect. Joe’s fresh roll is also yummy! I love the ponzo sauce because it balances out the whole dish and makes it light. I enjoyed all the rolls I ordered but my favorite roll is the Rock N Roll because I love shrimp tempura. Fish quality was insane. Salmon was so fresh and buttery. And the combination in the Kiwa roll was everything I loved. Asian sensation is also another favorite; I think it had fresh yellowtail instead of the shrimp tempura like the kiwa roll. So I ordered both 😂. The octopus was also so tender and delicious. Jay’s fresh roll is probably going to be a go-to nonnegotiable when I come back. Not a single bad thing I could say about any of it. The owner knows what’s good, quality of fish, combination of ingredients, right amount of garnish. The price was also SUCH a great deal. My mom and I looked at each other and said “wait what?” We were expecting to pay more because the quality and taste of the sushi was top tier.
