Hubby and I stopped in for lunch today. Very happy we did! We both ordered soup, which was OK but a little too much orzo in the beef orzo for me and hubby would have preferred a little more lemon flavor in his avgolemono. That was the ONLY negative thing in our experience. Hubby ordered a Greek wrap with gyro. It was a very large portion with lots of meat and he said it was delicious. I ordered a Philly sandwich. It, also, had lots of meat, onions, mushrooms and Swiss cheese (which I much prefer to melted Velveeta). My sandwich came with french fries, which were PERFECTLY crispy outside and tender inside and not at all greasy. I also ordered a side of coleslaw, which was the way I like it... a little sweet and a little tangy. We ended up taking half of our sandwiches home. Our waitress was very pleasant and welcoming. Thank you, Kalimera Cafe! We will...

We were in the area so decided to try this tasty little place. The reviews were good as with reason! I’m not sure what I could add that someone already hasn’t bragged about. Had to try the stuffed French toast and all I can say is: it was jaw dropping absolutely fantastic!! They use a cheesecake cream cheese (I just had to ask) for the stuffing and it did not disappoint!! My hubby ordered the meat lovers omelet and he said it was hands down, the best omelet he’s ever had!! Staff was super friendly and prices were as you would expect. If there is one thing I would warn about, it’s the trip to the restroom. As I’d never been here before, I was concentrating on the restrooms, however the kitchen door is en route and waitresses with full hands are constantly going in and out, so just be mindful of that!! But otherwise a wonderful...

Hotcakes is hands down my new favorite breakfast spot in the area! Everything about this place was amazing—from the warm, welcoming atmosphere to the incredible food and stellar service.

The biscuits were out-of-this-world delicious—fluffy, buttery, and baked to perfection. And the grits? Absolutely incredible. Some of the best I’ve ever had. Every bite was pure comfort food bliss. The portions were generous, and the prices were incredibly reasonable, which made the experience even better.

The staff at Hotcakes were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. They made us feel right at home and ensured we had everything we needed for a perfect breakfast.

If you’re in the area and looking for a place to start your day with incredible food and great service, do yourself a favor and check out Hotcakes....

After a so-so breakfast experience at a place right up the road, I came here not expecting much. Walking in the door, seeing the layout and the crowd, my expectations increased. I decided to get something a little out of my comfort zone and went with corn beef hash, grits toast and eggs. My only experience with hash was out of a can and can't even remember how it was prepared. This stuff was flavorful and delicious! I wasn't even sure what or how I was supposed to do with grits, so I just sprinkled a little salt and pepper and dug in.. Again delicious. The rye toast wasn't that cheap cardboard processed stuff, though not quite homemade, which I would never expect, it was quality. Everyone was pleasant and nice and my wife and I both walked away very happy and will be back!

Amazing all around! The banana pancakes on special were delicious! I also ordered the jalapeño cheddar Benedict - the best Benedict I’ve ever eaten! Also, I had to get a half order of biscuits and gravy, because I grew up on it and it’s a staple for me— if you mess that up, I don’t know if I can trust you— but these guys nailed it all around! The gravy is the best kind of sausage gravy from a diner — flavor was just perfect! Service was wonderful, kind, smiling and attentive. I’ve been a server for 17 years, and I wouldn’t change a thing! (That’s a big opinion because I have very high standards haha!) Thank you for a wonderful meal. I will always recommend Hotcakes for breakfast/lunch in Tarpon!
