I absolutely love the name of this restaurant. It sounds like the perfect Italian place. However, it's not. I hate not giving 5 stars, but when we walked in, there was a bunch of seating. We went up to the counter, and the young man behind it was super nice and professional. He asked if we're doing takeout or dining in. We chose dining in, we were on a date night. We had to take a menu from the counter, bring it back to the table we chose, then go back up to the counter to place an order. I had shrimp scampi and my husband had a burger. He said his burger was delicious. My scampi sauce was quite tasty. The noodles felt like they were boiled at opening and reheated at the time of order (I could be wrong). There was a hefty amount of shrimp, which I think was grilled and they were butterflied and not the best. The garlic bread was baked to perfection! I do want to try them again, I think they're known for the pizza. I think what threw me off was my shrimp scampi was served in a plastic takeout container with a black lunch tray lol and we had to use plastic ware that was sitting in a canister. They were very busy with phone orders/take out. I think this place is more take out than dine in. Maybe back in the day it was a sit down restaurant, there was even bar seating.

My take out order was later than expected, I had to wait nearly 20 minutes past when they said it would be ready. The appetizer I got was onion rings, wings, and jalapeño poppers and they all have frozen fried food vibes - likely not made in house. The pizza was disappointing, Dave Portnoy would likely rate it a 4. The portion size for the chicken parm was large however it was nothing special, not bad though. The vibe inside was a little strange, totally empty. I don’t recommend eating in for that reason.

The pictures of the pizza on their website vs what you actually get is hilarious. Cheese pizza was high school cafeteria quality. Legit tasted like frozen pizza. Also forgot the 4 extra sauces that we paid for. Would not go back.

After many pleasant take out experiences, I have decided to no longer eat at Tomato & Basil. I ordered two simple salads:Greek and Caesar, both with chicken and one tossed in buffalo sauce. Once I arrived, service was quick and the staff was pleasant. However, we quickly discovered that the order was incorrect. Both salad dressings were missing and the chicken was not tossed in buffalo sauce. No big deal. Gave the restaurant a call and they offered to correct the order if I came back, which I did. Unfortunately upon arrival I was greeted with unpleasant attitudes, it seemed like the staff and cook (who originally took care of the original order) did not believe that my order was incorrect. After many conversations and side eyes they agreed to give me salad dressings and a new order of buffalo chicken. All was well until I got home and decided to cut up the chicken because the pieces were too big. The chickens were completely RAW and inedible. Rather than calling back and dealing with the staff again, I decided to toss the chicken and eat the salad without even though I paid extra for it be tossed in buffalo. Tomato and Basil really needs to work on handling there mistakes rather than...

Was here a while back. Was told 1 hr for delivery which is normal on a Friday night. At the 1hr 30 min mark we try to call and see where our food was. We call for 15 minutes unable to get through. I head to the restaurant and the staff tells me the phone is off the hook cause they are too busy. Oh I guess those that already ordered don't matter!!. So now they tell me my food is on the way, I wait at the restaurant while my wife is home for another 15 minutes, so 2hrs total time now. My wife tells me the food arrives and it looks like the cook delivered it themselves. The food was soggy and luke warm at best. Luckily I didn't leave the restaurant cause I wanted a refund for my 50 plus dollars worth of food. The young lady at the register said she wasn't allowed to refund that when a boss or management got back they would call me back. I left my name and number and heard nothing for 2 days, so I call and get the run around such as talk to this person talk to that person. So needless to say I was never refunded, food went in the trash as it was horrible. If I could give it less than 1...
