The Old Y Diner — Restaurant in Taylor Springs

We had a party of 5 tonight around 6:30 at The Old Y Diner (former Moonlight Y in Hillsboro) and I'm glad I called and reserved a table because they were packed. I had their garlic salad and it was amazing! The breading on the fried chicken was delicious. They did run out of baked potatoes but the fries and homemade mashed potatoes were very tasty. We each had a different homemade cheesecake and they were all very good (they have like 9 different flavors to choose from). We'll definitely be back to try their breakfast menu. Our waitress was very attentive and their freshly brewed ice tea hit the spot. Everyone that was working was busting their butts and very nice and friendly. I'm going to give them a 9/10 for dinner tonight (only because I wanted a baked potato lol)! Glad to have another restaurant in the area with homemade food. Always support your local family owned...

It is just okay. Little expensive for the quality of the food. Might as well not even bother with the side salad if u expect anything other than lettuce and a couple pieces of shredded carrot. I would definitely never recommend this place to anybody. My granddaughter, and I went there friday night. I had the fish dinner, and she had fettuccini. I could only eat not even half my dinner.
